Always happy to hear your thoughts Milly, the pros and the cons! I think the shimmers look fabulous in several posts I have seen but seeing the mattes in action, made me think that they may not be the best formula out there. As someone who almost exclusively use shimmers, for me that means half of the palette is just going to be unused. Coming to the shimmers, again my personal opinion, they are beautiful but not something I cannot find in my own collection. I am also a little disappointed about the size of the pans. Not because there is less product (honestly I haven't hit pan in years in any eyeshadow) but I love the fact that all my Glaminatrix shadows are magnetic and I can build custom palettes with them, and this won't be possible with this one. So in conclusion, as much as I love my other palettes and singles from Glaminatrix, I will not pick this one up.

This review helped a lot, thank you. I wasn't aware of the smaller pan size and that is inconvenient since I tend to depot my eyeshadows and collect them in larger empty palettes. I don't mind the shallow filled pans *as much* and I also don't mind that they've switched to lab production. However, seeing how some of the mattes perform turns me off more. I do like the color story but I don't need any cream-colored mattes, either. All in all, at least three reasons for me not to get this one despite the attractive color story.

Wonderful review as always! With my eyeshadow collection growing I don’t want palettes with mattes that don’t work to my expectations. I love the shimmers in the palette but I’d rather pay for beautiful shimmer singles or an all shimmer palette instead!

The looks you created turned out beautiful! I've been wanting to try this brand for a while, but this is the first palette where I felt like I would use enough of the shades to make it worth buying. It's a shame the mattes don't represent their usual quality. Those brushes you used are so tiny, perfect for hooded eyes. What brand are they?

Very beautiful looks and I actually love the mix of neutrals and pastels with those shimmers. I was not expecting that yellow to mix that way with the warmer brown, hmm. I love Glaminatrix colour stories but this one is bottom of my wishlist. Two lightest mattes are very redundant and I am not keen on that very common shift black-based multichrome in context of this colour story - especially as it has to contribute a lot to cost. I am not too bothered about shallow filled pans, but smaller pan size is a huge turn off for me. Thank you so much for mentioning this. Will Glaminatrix older palettes now be produced in a lab? I really hope that will not happen.

Im not sure if the previous palettes will be switched to being lab made. I would assume that would also mean those new versions would get smaller pans too.

Thank you for reaching out about the pan filling. You’re the first person I’ve heard of reaching out about an issue like that. Especially with the shipping costs factored in, I’d be dismayed to feel like I got jipped. Those shimmery shades are incredible!

I think this palette is beautiful, but the color story is a little all over the place and I don’t think a matte cream and a white were both necessary. It feels like a palette where most of the shimmers are deeper than the mattes too. I feel a similar way about the You Beauty color story, but at least I can arrange that one however I want since it has 26mm magnetic pans and these are smaller. All that being said, I am still interested 😂

The color story reminds me of the Tiny Marvels palette but that one the mattes had better tones that paired with the pastels

Sorry English is not my mothertongue, but did you say 1 gram per pan? 2.6cm pans are normally 1.5-1.8 grams, right? I feel like they are doing like Klarity and even Unearthly, new palettes with almost half the quantity at almost the same price as before :/ and this tells a lot about what we pay for, which is not the powders. (sorry for the rant, it was Klarity that actually disappointed me with their minipalettes at no miniprice ^_^')

Those colours are very pretty on you. I don't think those look good on me because it makes my eyes swollen such as get punch because I have yellow skin tone. I suit neon colour for eyeshadow and clothing.
