We had so many parties back there in highschool with big fires lighting up the area and lots and lots of drinking. Them were some days back then. 15 years ago. Living in Yuma we dang near leav at the dunes during the winter times. Its the best part about Yuma AZ by far.

My only suggestion is, we watch the channel to enjoy your trips and rides, sometimes to places we can’t go or haven’t been to yet. Make the ride videos as long as the “getting there” videos.. watched the whole video on the drive there just because I know how KZbin works and wanted to keep your watch time high. But would love to see more “in the dunes” time too. Even if it’s just raw uncut dune footage of you guys chasing each other around. These big trips are what I love.

We have some dunes similar to this called "Little Sahara" - I rented a race modified X3 and he told me essentially to let it run for a bit after you finish driving to let the belt cooldown, he says they last longer that way. He had sport mode locked out and it was still as fast as our unmodified X3. I am not sure if the suspension comes the way he had it or not, the 3 arms in the back on each side were angled at about 45 degrees and the shocks were bigger. It ate up everything I threw at it, while the stock one would sometimes hit bottom. I'm sure all this stuff only adds another 30g's lol I never did get a chance to try out that clean air intake for the helmets.

SXSBlog.com that's good that all 3 of you guys got to have your wife and girlfriends there. They're all very pretty and congratulations on them all liking to ride.
@vinniemaxx15905 жыл бұрын
My bad looked like at 6:26 it was not reading but you were just pulling up to the top of Olds. Doug looks like the 911 cover on your primary does adjusting the cover tuck and un-tuck the weights and change preload on the spring and belt deflection?
@SXSBlog5 жыл бұрын
It's not the 911, it is made by Pro-4 specific for those clutches, and yes you can use the dial adjuster in conjunction with spider shims to tuck / untuck the weights and adjust belt deflection. Moveable sheave can also be separated from the tower to allow changing weights without touching the spring.

@@SXSBlog Haha yip. Earlier in the video in the first rip you were going up a dune and under load there is a small hiss. Doesn't sound like induction could be the bov leaking a little bit under boost. Anyway love the videos, always tons of LOL's.
@ChupacabraOffroad5 жыл бұрын
Bummer Doug lost a belt, but it's because of those Pro Armor paddles. They are heavy and have too many paddles. I'm sure Polaris gave them for free, when I worked for Polaris we had an employee ride and lost 5 belts! Sell them now, there's a reason everyone runs Skats, you will feel a big difference in power right away. And NO TOOLS?!?!
@SXSBlog5 жыл бұрын
yeah the tool kit must have been misplaced. So far we love the Pro Armors. They're not perfect but a heck of a lot better than a lot of the other options.
@dougrussell94775 жыл бұрын
you'll run a lot lower belt temps with the skats. a 10-12 paddle staggered extreme is perfect in my opinion for stock to lightly modded.
@ChupacabraOffroad5 жыл бұрын
Good to know on the belt temps, I just picked up some 32" destroyers from Sandcraft, I liked the mohawk front design...
