I had an older X3 i worked on that was making crunchy noises and turns out the oil pump gears which are plastic had sheared teeth. You might be able to get a peek thru the crank sensor hole or if you pull water pump

hey i got a zrp alternator kit for my x3 recently how much would it be to get it installed? i still need to get the rebuild kit for it since they have revised bolts and thicker hardware. also would want a ct raceworx gusset kit installed too if possible

Been asking others this. You run in 2WD or 4WD at the dunes ?

with regular paddles i would say 2wd especially if you’re running all buffed paddled up front but if you’re running something like ss360 all around that’s a setup that needs 4wd all the time. i’m not sure if you need 4wd if you’re running mohawks up front but i’m sure on ss360s that have been cut (not sure the exact tire name but a lot of people run them) since they have less paddles on them and are more spread out between the paddles you’d need 4wd for them to be able to hook and throw dirt where as smooth runners or mohawks don’t need it. but i could be completely wrong. good question for frank to answer to be 100% sure

I like running two-wheel drive most of the time. Until we dune really hard. Many times we take really short but tall hills going up. And I feel like you need four wheel drive to pull you up at times🤷. If it's your first time or your unexperienced I would say try four-wheel drive, get used to the dunes and then try out two wheel drive after

hey Frank, did you use your stock hubs with the new arm kit, or did upgrade to the billet hubs in the front? texeria tek has had a kit for these for a while now but also said a capped billet hub was required
