The great thing about Grantley is that he figures things out before anyone else: This Jem teacher, Helen passing the inspection; Earl’s true colours, in fact with Helen he already came up with the possibility that she slept with Max to get the job Plus why would someone who appeared to live a life of luxury be a supply teacher and not show a photo of their claimed boyfriend

When people criticised the actress playing Lorraine I was a bit shocked BUT when I re-watch Jem’s episode, I understand what they mean The actress doesn’t seem versatile. Apart from a different character name/different character financial situation, I can’t see much of a difference between her acting as Jem and her acting as Lorraine
