So I recently started a rewatch of Jane the Virgin. There's an ep in season 5 where Mateo has to be a signing tree. Eventually it leads to a musical montage with everyone where they're signing "love love love, you need love love love." I started bawling my eyes out. I forgot how I felt at that period of time, with the world the way it was, with how dark it felt as an immigrant watching the things happening to other immigrants. Jane the Virgin was a bubble of light and love that helped me more than I realized. Always a soft spot for this show.
