Great colour, great shape. Sounds great too. And your obvious enjoyment at the experience of opening, tuning, and testing is a delight to watch. 🤘

Nice review. It was thorough and fair. I really appreciate your integrity, giving your honest opinions despite the obvious temptation that would be there to just whitewash any issues which could have led to a beginner falling into the trap of having a poorly set up guitar with high action getting frustrated and quitting. Much respect to you, my friend.

That seriously means everything, man! I was honestly a little nervous to upload this. However, even at this price point, I feel the guitar should come set up and ready to play. I had previously received a guitar from another company in the same price range who had set theirs up perfectly. So it can be done. I did message Glarry with my positives and negatives. I can only hope they appreciate the feedback. Otherwise, this is a rad guitar. Thanks again! 🍻

@@OneRayMusic Man, you HAVE to stay true to yourself on guitar reviews. I have been watching you play for a couple years now - you know what a good guitar should be like. This is not a new guitar to market - guitar players will know for sure if you are "shilling" and will not watch your reviews, and beginners that might pick this guitar up based on a "not-negative" review will learn the lesson when they buy one and remember why they bought it in the first place. If you are already talking set up, rewire, and other issues out of the box, this is not a good guitar for a beginner. In fact I would put a period on "this is just not a good guitar". Cool looks do not a good guitar make. Budget guitars have come a LONG WAY since the 80s/90s - guitar companies cannot release beginner guitars that require tech experience to own. That defeats the whole purpose. Its ok to be respectful in providing negative feedback - if the company doesnt want to hear it, then they either need to make better guitars or get out of the business. You have an obligation to your followers to let them know if you would buy it and if you would play it and why/why not. I think you gave a really comprehensive demo and review and I think you adequately showed some discomfort when it came to the not-so-good things. Hopefully people were paying attention. I am not hating on Glarry. I dont have one for a reason, but hopefully with you at the helm providing your insight, maybe I will see a Glarry in my future. Thanks for the vid Ray!

Yeah - he did a good job. I have watched a ton of Glarry guitar reviews over the years. I like to mod budget guitars but I just haven't been able to get warm to this brand - you kind of get the message when they sit on Facebook Marketplace for weeks at a $50 list price. It seems like many of the people doing the reviews are always searching for the words on these guitars. I dont know - I am sure it isnt easy to drop a new guitar into the market at below $150 and make any money, but they're out there and some of them are REALLY good. Cheers!

Oh wow! First off, thank you so much for watching! That really keeps me going and means a lot! I’m really happy to say that I did share this video with Ktaxon/Glarry and wrote to them with my positives and negatives. It was refreshing that they responded saying that I didn’t have to give unnecessarily positive reviews and to share my genuine experiences with their guitars. Like you said, if a company can’t take criticism, they shouldn’t be in business. I hope too that anyone who watches this video pays attention to what I said about the action and intonation out of the box. Fortunately, I know how to set up guitars, but you shouldn’t have to right out of the gate - especially for beginning guitar players who wouldn’t know this and get discouraged. Thank you so much again! I really do appreciate it! 🍻

Not to get ahead of myself and I can’t share all of the details just yet - but I just had a zoom meeting with a budget guitar company coming to the states in 2025. The big thing that excites me about this brand is how good the guitars and basses are for their $150 - $250 price range. I hope to have content early next year!
