Yeah I live over just across the state line in Ohio, I always got to shovel my driveway to halfway onto the road if I ever expect to be able to make it on to the road. This kind of goes with the territory.

This video was taken only a few hours into the lake effect storm. I lived in Erie/Harborcreek for the first 27 years of my life, and no plows showing up for days making roads impassable causing countless people to get stuck or crash into ditches, I-90 and I-79 being shut down, and the National Guard being deployed to help shuttle people to work wasn’t insignificant. I remember being up for Christmas of 2017 and being snowed-in and the National Guard being deployed. That year, the plows at least came.

What are you using on the strings at the nut? Great playing BTW.
@OneRayMusic6 күн бұрын
Thank you! I really appreciate it! It’s just some electrical tape. Fender should have installed another string tree for the D and G strings. It rings out in an undesirable way after playing open chords and then muting them. I added the tape to mute the strings behind the nut when I’m not playing. Some guitarists use those straps, but I was too cheap for that. 🤘🏻🤣 Thanks so much for watching! 🍻

The me 90 will do just about anything and do it well through an amp with 4cm, or into a speaker or pa. I’ve had line 6 stuff and others. Never liked using an iPad to adjust on the fly, you spend more time tweaking than playing . Just dial knobs and go. Daws and ir’s are lame. Play through an amp in the room.
@OneRayMusic6 күн бұрын
I totally agree. I really like the simple interface of the ME-90 just having old school knobs. I’m not one to go deep into software and drop menus either. The built-in IRs are great, but you right that nothing beats air moving through a speaker in the room. Thanks so much for watching, and I hope you have a nice holiday season! 🍻

That’s great she’s been playing for a few years! I started on acoustic also! I’d definitely recommend this guitar for her first electric. I’m going to add a link to my TikTok Shop in the description of this video. If you buy one from my shop, I earn a small commission (I think around $11) which I just put back into creating more music and content. If you do end up getting one, feel free to reach out to let me know what she thinks of it and if you have any questions! Thanks so much!

I grew up in Millcreek and still live in Erie. It was definitely a really bad storm. My car was buried for 4 and a 1/2 days. And our road wasn't even plowed until the day after I unburied my car. And then we got hit again. We went from no snow to 5 feet of snow. And knowing Erie we'll probably end up with a green Christmas. 😂
@OneRayMusic8 күн бұрын
I’m so sorry for your ordeal. It really was a bad series of storms that really just hit the Lake Erie region. Past that, there was nothing. I’ve heard it’s warmed up in Erie and the snow is already melting, so you’re probably right about the green Christmas.

I want to thank everyone for watching this video and commenting! I’ve not been able to keep up with the comments, so I just wanted to write this to sum everything up for you all: I shot and uploaded this video on November 30th. Yes, we had a snow blower, but the snow was too heavy at the time for it to work properly - we did get it working later that day and the next day. Yes, I realize it also snows other places. For those who said this was nothing, the plows did not come out for days after this video causing the surrounding roads to be impassable. Countless vehicles were stuck and in ditches, and I-90 and I-79 were closed. Apparently, the 1970s was just one huge blizzard for the entire decade. Some of you need to look up the difference between weather and climate. Despite being a big guy, I’m in good health and can handle shoveling without the immediate risk of a heart attack (I’ve had the tests to prove it). Yes, I did take breaks. My wife and I ended up being able to make it back to Pittsburgh two days after this video and have been there since. Lastly, I like my earrings and haven’t had anyone call me homophobic slurs for wearing them since the ‘90s. Thanks again for all the well wishes! I really do appreciate it!
