Moved to the west end when I got married and enjoyed my time there. Thx for the wee trip down memory lane Master. Glasgow seems to be fairing better than many of the cities in UK. Looking forward to coming back for Xmas.

I don't really know the east end of Glasgow well though I have been to the Forge in Parkhead. But I love the west end a lot. Great West Road, Byres Road and Partick. All my favourite places in Glasgow. I live in Renfrew and it's so easy to get into the west end by bus. Or even the subway from Govan. Love it.😮

I'm English and Glasgow is by far my favourite city in the UK. Been numerous times. Fantastic friendly people the Weegies. Best pub The Bon Accord. Best railway station Partick. Best football ground Shawfield. Best nutty scheme Nitshill. Best shopping The Barras. Best railway line, the loop from Queen St to Anniesland.

@license2chill well it's the quality of the shops that have changed. The buildings are still stunning though. It's always had it's social problem, as has mpst of the East end. I was brought up in Tollcross.

I remember walking to Celtic Park in 2004 on old firm day. We parked in Bridgetown and all of the doors were red or blue and the play park had no swings and the slide was a puddle of melted plastic on the floor 😢I’m from Blackpool Lancashire btw. So it’s no better here 😂

Never been to the East End but it looks OK, not many empty shop fronts, some shockingly bad postwar architecture but most of the buildings are quite fine. I've heard Coia's is pretty good. What I'd give for a decent coffee shop in my own ned haunted hole
