Back then I use to fear they wouldn't release any more music but hoped for them to continue. I'm so glad we're heading to a third album and I'm really looking forward to more Glass Animals music. this song reminds me of an old friend who I used to have a crush on. she was the definition of “cool” to me. she did drugs, was rebellious, slept around,,, not to mention amazing at art. looking back she was probably a horrible influence on me, especially since she was older than me. but I still ended up falling for her. i’m pretty sure it was mutual, but her addictions were overwhelming. she’d always come to me for comfort about it despite her age, stressing me out to no end. i was so fucking scared she’d od or something. but we remained friends till she snapped at me one day. she slept with a man in his late twenties despite being not even 18. she saw no issue with it. she even said she thinks she likes the guy a bit. but when I told her she was being groomed,,, she just went off. needless to say afterwards I ghosted her. after a few months we started talking again but shit just isn’t the same anymore. we both have boyfriends now, so it’s not like it matters. but I’m proud of her, because she did make some progress, both with her drugs, her emotions, and her overall outlook on life. I’m glad I taught her something. but this song is so painful. but so good. god.
