I love seeing people from HK. You never know what international combo you’ll get. My sister in law is mixed heritage of Irish/Chinese Canadian with her Maori husband. Her brother is married to a French woman. It’s so exciting.

I thought the exact same thing. I mean how many toddlers have gotten a chair to stand on the lean out...omg it doesn't bear thinking. They were so high up. I can understand the large windows to allow light to flow but didn't get the frames for the views idea...what views? Not for me but the flat made excellent use of the space... it was lovely.

The best thing it's have many natural light. Almost have 3 free-wall, the wall not close to neighbour house so it's have big window. It's make the house so ALIVE! You can have the sun, the wind, the light reach to your place. It's well design but this is not small apartment. It's have decent size, just saying.

It's big for Hong Kong, but lots of people in other places would consider it very small indeed for a family of 4. Like in the USA average apartment size is around 800-900 sq ft. (And the houses are huge.)

In vehicles like RV or trailer, having "integrated" fridge is understandable since it's the standard and space is premium. But in a house, will it becomes a problem later when the fridge getting old, because sometimes they leak? And what if you need to repair the fridge? Also how about the ventilation space?

Very subtle but I can't help but notice the host asked the wife if she is happy with her kitchen after she said that they plant the herbs because the husband is a great cook and herbs are expensive in HK. She then had to say again that she is happy with the kitchen even though she does not use it a lot and the husband is the cook. :(

I have trouble understanding some of the comments about the space or the windows. The point of the video is to show how one can optimize small spaces through an example, and why not teach your children to not play with/arounds the windows because it's dangerous? Kids aren't stupid, if rules are properly explained to them, they'll understand. No need to whine about an issue that can be settled lol

"I looked the other way for just a minute..." and a curious child suffers a tragic fall. The windows should either be permanently closed or there should be a fixed grill in place. Building codes in Hong Kong may be more permissive, but it's not a safe situation.

Space is both good and bad. I would never put toilet next to my bed. Kid can fall out of the window. There is no bath, only shower. That Murphy bed can fold down and flatten the kid while she is playing underneath it. When the kid grows, she will have to bother the parents by walking thru their bedroom, possibly while they are having sex. Good use of light but too many dangerous and inconvenient things. I have lived in a smaller space. We did not have toilet next to bed and we did have a bathtub. Not a very good planning.
