Gemma, what a stunning creation! Living in a glass house has a tremendous advantage for someone such as myself who would live outside but for biting bugs! I'm wondering why dining for 4 at the table, but with only 2 comfortable chairs in the living room area for seating. That's only a semi-real question ~ As sharp & good looking as every square inch is in your beautiful design, do you think it might benefit by having a couple low profile but very cozy, comfortable chairs instead of the handsome modern chairs shown. I'd want to have support for my body, head to toe, whilst taking in the outside , reading a good book or listening to beautiful music! I love your tiny house & of course I'd like one exactly like it for myself! Cheers!

I got over my conventional notion of needing a sofa rather quickly! I was surprised. In such a small space, the chairs are moveable and that's a bonus. I'd add an ottoman in the living area and a pocket door for the other side of the bathroom area. I love your work! Thoughtfulness is a key ingredient in good design.

Hi Gemma, your design makes me think of Frank Llyod Wright’s Seth Peterson house in WI, USA. The snail shell approach of sorts, which works well for tiny houses. Great stuff!

Lovely design. Congratulations on your new channel. Someday I would love to see a version of this that might fit in a dual side-by-side container footprint. EG~5m x12m. That might give room for a large dedicated wet bath (tub+shower) and laundry. Channels such as yours get me thinking creatively and then I end up losing hours to making badly drawn sketches. Expose yourself to the outside world is a theme? You make up for the no window atrium tiny house more than compensates! I'll make my bed a murphy bed with fold down desk. Could I pour in place floor and roof at one time? Maybe a slightly elevated main floor with a root celler below? I find it beautiful. The only thing that doesn't make 100% sense to me is the shower. As much as I would love the view outside, won't the floor get wet? I'd be worried about water in the bedroom and hallway because there is no shower curtain or something to prevent the water from spilling out of the actual shower area.

It seems a big enough shower area to me. It has drainage. I'd put mats to catch splashes on the floor outside the shower. And you could put shower screens if it was a problem.

your work is a strange combination of hand drawing and then incredibly realistic 3D renderings in which you take us on a (very skillully commentated) tour. I'm not a fan of minimalist clean lines and lots of glass, myself, and especially not when you're combining that aesthetic with old stone homes/barns - doesn't work for me. Could you design a two bedroom tiny house? I’ve been designing two bedroom tiny homes for a while now (for my own enjoyment, I am not trained). I have been able to stay within regulations for minimum widths, depths, heights and lengths. Would you like to take that challenge? Lot size is not necessarily a factor, so you can use an optimal square floor plan, or a shotgun house layout, or even a compact two storey.

If this house ( oh! I love it ) sits in the middle of nowhere (and it should), for the going-away times would be good to secure it. Adding wood overlapping slider panels in front of your wood walls could wrap all the exterior to a secured monolith timber box. This is when a purist minimalist cringes and the decision between the esthetics and function becomes a painful polemic.
