He's very good. Every great voice needs a sexy sounding guitarist. Enter: Valensi or somebody. For me personally, the synthesizer just does not do it nor does the electric keyboard. Lennon needed guitars, Blur needed Coxon, and Julian needs guitars. It's just not true "toe-curling" (borrowed this adjective from Jules himself ha!ha!) rock-n-roll without a great live guitarist in the picture. Having said that, I do adore this man.

OK. I said I don't like synthesizers. That's just me. If you like them, then good for you. Whether they were around in Lennon's time or not is irrelevant to my comment. I just don't like the sound of synthesizers. As far as the guitarists, yes I hear them. Yes, I also see them in the video. I just don't think they are sexy. Sorry. Valensi, on the other hand, is hot on every level.
