I have never grown to like someone as quickly as I have Peter. That might sound kind of weird, but...I love what he does and who he is as a person. We need more people like him. People who're kind and want only to bring more beauty into the world.

Do you think sugar would have the same effect as salt? How about pepper, or an entire picture made with condiments ?
@pear927 жыл бұрын
Brenda Penny I've done sugar in watercolor. The effect is similar to salt, except for the sugar dissolves and gets all sticky and then I worry about ants. Postum drink mix does cool things that make a rusty looking texture.

You are a gift to this world and a light in my life. I just found your channel a few days ago and I am incredibly glad I did. Your videos are relaxing, you are clearly very talented, and your little philosophical tidbits make me wish I could meet you because I relate so much. Every video you produce is a little punch thrown in the direction of everyone else who strive to be cool or the same or noticed. You have talent and wisdom and intelligence. Your heart isn't to get popular or rich or anything of the sort. You just aim to entertain and to share your work and to spark thought. And you succeed. Please dont ever stop making videos and know I will be watching every single one that comes next. Thank you for sharing your insights and art with us!

Yes we have that in Australia too, Peter - states like New South Wales, Queensland, towns, suburbs, cities like Texas, Warwick, Newcastle, Penrith, places named after explorers, etc etc. You can tell we were settled by England! I agree with you - why name a place after the one you came from when you're trying to get away lol.
@RivkahSong6 жыл бұрын
Wait... Texas, Australia? Y'know... I'm used to the US having a gadjillion places named after European cities/historical figures (I have lived in/near a London, Florence, Louisville, Elizabethtown, Richmond, Frankfort, Glasgow, etc) but it never occurred to me there would be places abroad named after American states/cities/etc.

I'm pumped you're getting into watercolor! When I started watching your channel, I developed the habit of drawing blobby abstract things when I didn't have a goal in mind, just to practice and get the art juices flowing. Lately, I've been blobbing with watercolor and putting down lines and details when it's all dry. It's definitely a fun way to make some art, and I thank you for inspiring me!

I was gonna say to just keep doing your own thang, but now I worry that'll make you wanna stop. I have the same impulse. One of my first memories is of me and my mom getting ready to go for a winter walk when I was a toddler. I was going out the door to wait for her on the steps. We had metal railings, and it was very cold out, so she said "whatever you do, don't lick the railings!" (I had developed a taste for metal). It actually hadn't occurred to me to lick the railings, but I suddenly felt a mixture of curiosity and defiance. Then I found out the hard way why you don't lick the railings when it's freezing out. I lost a layer of tongue skin. Reflecting on that incident now, as well as years of later experience, I'm starting to think maybe I should listen to my mother more often. Anyway, I really enjoy your videos and art. Please keep up the good work, not because I said so, but because it's what you feel like doing.

Googly eyes usually have a film on the back which you can peel off and just push them on a surface, they will stick to it. So yeah, the epoxy thing might have been an overkill, might as well just welded them on. BTW, absolutely epic painting/drawing/googlyeyeing, as always.

Petersburg, Virginia! There was a Civil War battle near it. It was a siege. At the end, they blew up a bunch of stuff and made a huge crater and fought in that crater and there was a ton of blood and the soil there isn't very good at absorbing blood so you can imagine how that went. It ended up being a Confederate pyrrhic victory.

I live in Edmonton in Canada and we once visited city hall and we were told that apparently there is an Edmonton some place in England or something and apparently when Edmonton, Canada was founded, the at the time leader was from that Edmonton. A lot of the people there were also from that city and so the person who suggested the name knew the leader was from the other Edmonton. That was confusing to write and I'm not sure how true I am.
