What a fantastic tree!!! you put so much work into it too. Now I have to find that green paint! A little tip for the lids. After you take off the metal lid on the tumbler you can screw that orange screw back on to the inner lid to help pull it out.

Best way to hang?
@crazyglasslady Жыл бұрын
Well the best thing to do is to remember to place the glass the right side up if there is an existing hanger on the back. I can not tell you how many times i have finished a project to find that the hanger is at the bottom when I flip it over.LOL. But if there is not an existing one you can get a bunch of the saw tooth hangers those are easy to put on the top before you place the glass and resin. If you can remember to do it. You can also add after, but easier to do it before.

Do you always tumble your glass? I haven’t ever seen you do this.
@crazyglasslady Жыл бұрын
Well I have always tumbled my glass right from the beginning but mainly for the sea glass effect.. At the beginning I did do a few broken glass projects without tumbling but it always made me so nervous. about others cutting themselves. So I would not give those away but hang them on my own wall. So I first started tumbling the stained glass stems for my projects. And since then just to take the sharp edges off. And if you hav seen my most recent pink tree video i have discovered that you can tumble painted glass for a short period and it will smooth it enough so that you can't cut yourself but it will only take a little of the paint off.
@crazyglasslady Жыл бұрын
This was last years christmas trees I think I used grit for this one and did it 8 hours or so but have now discoverd you can do it without grit and for just an hour or so kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqfOZ3qGhbOnpbcsi=sn0j4GiAExqy-pDW

@@crazyglasslady thanks for the info. I have seen others tumble their glass with sand. Does that make a difference? I noticed toy just used water.
@crazyglasslady Жыл бұрын
@@kellyskaggs7987 so when you’re trying to get it to look like Seaglass, you would use some kind of abrasive like grit or sand. I don’t feel like sand is as a abrasive as some of the course grits but it will still do the job. It will just take longer. If all you wanted to do is take the sharp edges off all you really need to use is water. at first I was using a little bit ofgrit but then I realized after hearing other people say that’s all they use is water, so I tried it and it works that is just to take the sharp edges off. You have to use some kind of abrasive material to get the Seaglass look. I hope that makes sense.
