Sitting on the couch with a terrible cold (thankfully not covid) n your videos are helping keep some stoke going. I want to say Your tutorials fill a gap between beginner "how to catch a wave" vids and slick promo vids of pros n team riders ripping. Your front side reverse paddle cut back how to was great. I'm down to an 8' board and have been able to implement some of your advice. Also 'implemented' some monumental wipe outs. That's part of learning. But at 55 the hurting lasts longer than it used to. Thanks my man.

Thank you Michael appreciate the awesome feedback! I definitely need to make another tutorial of sorts. I always felt like making an all around what not to do video could work too. Hope you get back out in the water soon with some real waves! Congrats on getting down to 8'

@@Twonicles a what not to do would be helpful. Sup surfing has a steep learning curve and you have to rely on body memory to make it work. I put a few bad habits in to body memory when I was learning that I'm working to unlearn them. Would have been much easier to learn them the first time around. Examples are I still find myself paddling for waves on my heel side with out even thinking about it. That can works and sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do, but heel side paddling is a bad habit. Not as bad as that but I sometimes have the paddle on the wrong side. Just putting the paddle somewhere when prone paddling and getting to your feet is a learning thing. Don't know if you experienced any of these.
