Hey Charlie, how about a radar altimeter with audio call outs counting down your height over the glassy water?

They do exist, but I'm not sure they'd change the process, you still couldn't do a normal approach and round out because of the forward moment from high drag, making it a much higher risk at usual approach speeds

Basically land like a FA18 onto a carrier, they have a constant attitude until they hit mothers deck.

Except you can't hit as hard as they do or you'd nose-over immediately!
