When you're 4 pob, the water surface goes glassy and messes up your takeoff run. Ugly.

The camera battery dies at 9:44 but you just get to see the river we landed on (the audio continues). It's such a shame as we had a really cool approach and landing on the river over the trees, onto a glassy surface but with plenty of visual references. The 2nd takeoff was ugly. In fact it was easily my worst seaplane takeoff ever, of around 200 water takeoffs. Beautiful flying in Maine with friends. At the very end there's an amazing clip of the passenger we ferried taking off in his plane from the river.

'Almost hit them trees'.. I love it, people forget we trained in the UK with short airstrips, don't waste any space 😅
