What does it look like behind the cowl? In other words, is there anything funky going on to replace the motor? My understanding is this is a weakness of the Volantex Trainstar Ascent since the fuselage is one-piece molded plastic which is good in a way, but also means there is no removable cowl and everything inside needs to be removed and you need to snake the motor in and out from the back.

Cowl is removable with 2 screws. Fuselage is solid foam only the cowl which is about q inch is plastic. Idk why you would want to touch the motor. This thing is ridiculous on 4s already. Sluggish on 3s for a beginner....BUT not on 4s 👊🇺🇲

How do/did you measure the rates on the control surfaces?
@NoonzAirborneRC Жыл бұрын
From the center of the wing to the trailing edge when defected

@@NoonzAirborneRC Sorry, I didn't do a good job at asking the question... Rather, what tool, gauge or device did you use to measure the deflection? I know for example some FliteTest airplane kits come with a foam gauge. Thanks.

@Bill K gotcha for simple plane like this I have a plastic ruler with 1 mil increments I use a vise to hold it upright to the surface and use that to measure. A little crude but IT WORKS! for my bigger jets I use my xicoy cg machine with angle deflection meter. But for something small like this just isn't worth pulling it out and setting up.
