Morris, the guy talking at the beginning was a legend. The best ever team leader, kept us motivated all shift with his humourous tales. Sadly no longer with us. RIP Morris.

I worked on the tractor crew in 2009, and my heart went out to the poor folk in the shed, I think folk thought what ever the weather we will be dry. I would rather be wet. Had a great laugh on the tractors and probabaly the best view of Tom Jones when the tractor got stuck due to crowds and we were dancing on the piled up bags. Back there again this year Tractor Crew A

you can see me in the recycling centre shots some of the stuff we came across was appalling. literal shit went through our hands, bottles of piss. getting up at the crack of dawn was a joke and i stumbled to picks still drunk and stoned. it was hard, digusting and absolutely shattering, but it was the most worth while things i've ever done in my life. the sheer amount of recycling was incredible, we shifted through tons and tons of it

Been a re-cycler at Glastonbury since 92. It's got progressively worse. I'm too old to litter pick nowadays, so I am on a team that makes sure the market traders do their bit. Most are pretty clued up, some are complete profiteering scum and couldn't give a damn about the farm or the festival. The worst areas are the beer tents. The problem is that there are too many people, and, as hard as the litter pickers work most of the work is done by heavy duty professional recyclers post-festival.

Probably worked with you in 2000 the year i did the recycling crew There was a infamous picture of me taken that year lying on a load of bags having a little shut eye during a morning pick up of sacks on one of the tractor carts lol

I was one of this team, and yes it was appalling the shit people left behind (sometimes literally!) Sorry but I don't think the leave no trace message is getting through in any significant way.

Festival in Japan is a really clean place. I think that recycling is very meticulous.

People should try to throw the trash in each bin corresponding to well avoid time and labor after

Glastonbury this year was left absolutely filthy there is no need for it there where plenty of bins there yes some of them did not get emptied and over flowed but the litter picker picked up crap as quickly as they could . It comes down to damn right lazy people who cannot be bothered to find a bin to put their crap in instead just drop it where they stand seen it being done whilst there. No need for this mess

check out the facebook page for the recycling crews the rubbish ..it is like a battle against orcs......it is totally bizarre that so much cr*p is just chucked ....... the crews do an incredible job but some how the 2000 tonnes of human muck should not end up on the ground.... 150,000 people and about 1700 clearing up their muck
