It really is something there. As Shawn mentioned there, it starts off in a town called Bridgwater and it is always the first Saturday of November when it all starts, it then moves to six other towns and Glastonbury is the last if the seven locations. Really worth the visit and I sure Shawn and Charlotte will be filming again next year......

Wow, its surprising to find that so many people don't know about this. Ive watched carnival since i can remember with my family but start of 2023 joined one of the many clubs (Shambles who had the casino one) if its surprising from a spectators perspective its even more so helping to build and perform on one, unfortunately i was on the other side. I would highly recommend Bridgewater over Glastonbury. Definitely bring a chair and get there early (we get sat down around lunch time) they have the squibbing down the High street after the procession and it's definitely worth the trip! I live in Somerset (about and hour from Bridgewater) and have seen the carnivals every year at different locations and Bridgewater really is my favourite place to go watch it.

If you want to go I don’t recommend watching it on the devon or wessex circuit recommend the sommerset circuit apart from midsommer not part of the magnificent 7 but if you want this years dates I can tell you

I live not far from Glastonbury and never knew about this festival 😂 I do highly recommend going to Knights fish and chips shop, which wasn’t far from where you were standing watching the parade. It’s a really old fish and chip shop with lots of history you would like but I feel they have the best fish and chips in the area!

I am a huge carnival fan. I go to all 7 and I can name all clubs you said that the cart broke down was me dip vale it wasn’t them. It was the cart behind which was 1+1 who had a fuel leak hope you enjoyed it.

Do the same floats tour the uk maybe cos the amount of time and know how to make these is immense and they all clearly have safety features for those on them, must be a professional firm that supplies/ hires these any information on how they put this together guys?

Answering only as someone from Somerset who grew up watching carnival every year. The floats are all made by amateur 'carnival clubs'. As far as I know they dismantle the floats after the end of each season, and will pretty much straight away start creating their entry for next year.
