This was a really beautifully constructed video of an astonishing event. Groups of drummers working together touches something so deep, like a latent memory of a previous experience, and the rain was as if it was a blessing rather than something to spoil the day. Events such as this reinforce our necessity to keep contact with nature, and the elements. Wonderful choreography among the assembled participants. I'm still watching but felt compelled to comment as I watch.

Thanks Gabriel- my son & nephew were a day late- still enjoyed themselves! You do a marvellous job recording these events for posterity! I see you were walking backwards again- have to suggest this event for the Olympic Games ( this year break dancing is to be included)walking up a hill or on the flat backwards - you would win for GB- no need to practise!😄

What a delightful gathering! Your town is quite charming. I watched some in 2x mode, It reminded me of old Benny Hill skits... Best wishes from Chimayo, New Mexico Territory ✨🧙🏾♂️✨

I would love to learn to drum this way, is there a name for it besides "drumming while wearing a drum"? Or is it just known as Celtic style drumming?

In musical terms it is known as - 'A bloody awful racket'.

Perhaps try "marching band drum rudiments" for a start; 'good luck!
