One of the most touching things I’ve heard in a long time. As a psychiatric provider and therapist, I feel like I try to provide this level of support for the people I serve but I also need this. My brother sent this to me during the flooding that hurricane Helene brought upon Asheville, NC and it touched me so deeply during a very dark period of both my life and those I serve. Thank you brother.

@Sleep Solutions think they were undermined by some snobbish radio 6 music critics. heard a line 'trying to be Jesus and Mary chain but sounds like coldplay' - absolute horseshit from London-centric critics. they had a great sound and were pure Scots through and through (from an Englishman albeit with Scottish blood)

When your sparkle evades your soul I'll be at your side to console When your standing on the window ledge I'll talk you back, back from the edge I will turn, I will turn your tide Be your Sheppard and your guide When you're lost in the deep and darkest place around May my words walk you home safe and sound When you say that I'm no good and you feel like walking I need to make sure you know that's just the prescription talking When your feet decide to walk you on the wayward side Up upon the stairs and down the downward slide I will turn, I will turn your tide Do all that I can to heal you inside I will be the angel on your shoulder My name is Geraldine, I'm your social worker

Amazing band ! Hope they tour the states again soon. My only chance to see them my bus was 1 hour and half late from nyc to Boston. Got to the show literally as it was ending. James came out after the show and I chatted with him for about the 10 minutes. So kind , he was apologizing for me missing the show and how if the venue would allow it , he would go back up on stage. He said he’s always late too. Wow ! So genuine.

I was listening to 96.5 the Buzz out of KC one morning at work, deep into the winter of 2008-09 with my headphones cranked, and suddenly this haunting, beautifully ethereal song assaults me. I loved it from the intro, and ever more so with each listen . . . I am listening to it as I type. For me, this tune is inextricably linked with another powerhouse single from The Airborne Toxic Event: Sometime Around Midnight. What a strange and wonderful period of time for alternative music seemed to begin during this winter, and culminated - at least in my mind - with Just Breath by Pearljam in 2010. Nothing like this had happened since the very early 1990's with Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Nirvana and the aforementioned PJ. I am almost 60, and today's alternative music has ME on the ledge!! DZ
