Glaze review AMACO PCF-3 Midnight Run

‪@AMACOBrent‬ has really been up to it huh?
on top of their newly released Potter's choice Flux line there are also soon to release a line of glazes entitled "Cosmic" which we hope to get our hands on soon.
The glaze in this video is fairly solid as far as I'm concerned It delivers the exact color that it promises on the bottle on top of some interesting tricks if you use a different clay body. My only issue I seem to have with it is that it doesn't do too well with other dark combinations as the blue is so powerful but that's to be expected in any dark blue grays such as this.

That is a gorgeous glaze! Interesting look on the Dragon Fruit. By the way… IMCO does deliver across the US. Shipping is not cheap, but they do sell samples of a couple of lbs so that you can try it out before you really commit to shipping out a full box. Honestly, I am thinking next time I make a trip out west that I will probably just decide to go see Cali 😂 (west coast beaches are on my bucket list anyway) and maybe pick up some more. That’s not for everyone, but that’s how I roll in my little SUV. It really is a gorgeous clay body. And the customer service at IMCO is seriously top tier amazing!

That deep galaxy effect is gorgeous. Love your new clay body with Midnight Run too!! I need to try that mix. Midnight Run is a flux and is a runner when used over another glaze.

That last "galaxy bowl" is stunning! How many coats of each? Iron is the top coat?

I thought those glazes were formulated for brushing. Did you add something to make them disable/ pourable?

Hi there…can you help for a moment with my 181 Skutt? Pretty please? I only have 4 plugs… am I ok to leave the top one out? I did a 6 cone glaze fire yesterday and it clicked off and when I opened it this morning nothing was shiny..all totally matte… all my elements are burning hot from what I can see today as i re-fire on high but like I said I only have 4 plugs… do you think it will get hot enough? Or should I try to plug it with something? Like Insulation? Not sure why my kiln shut off yesterday before things were done… maybe my old cones are too old..or I had an incorrect cone number? I am using a cone 6 for sure from a newer ‘old package’… hoping it is fine… any thoughts are welcome… trying to check temp with a thermometer gun but it is not Able to properly register a temp consistently…and highest seems to be 500F… not sure if the red beam is capable of the measurement…. We use if for our pizza oven floor and it works… but 🤷‍♀️ otherwise it is glowing very orange inside the kiln again today … How many hours on high if I have to guess ….if the cone clicks the kiln off prematurely again like yesterday? I am babysitting it til I get it to run long enough… my guess is about 5 hours on high 🤷‍♀️… so far it has been 2.5 hrs on high after 1.5 hrs warm up from low to medium…total of 5 since start but only 2.5 on High as of now…. But I can stay up all night if need be lol!
