Do I have to go with the proses like for the rear with the key???

Only the rear axle has the parking brake that needs to be electrically unwound.

Do you have to put the car in shop mode while working on the brakes?

Rear brakes only. It unwinds the parking brake mechanism on the rear. I have a video on the rear pad replacement that shows the steps required.
