What about the warning message (break pads needs to be replaced…) on cockpit display, will it disappeare after the pads are changed?
@edshandymantips486211 күн бұрын
@@user-ud7fk1bl4g Yes, if the pads are worn down to the pad sensor the circuit is completed and the warning will trigger. Once new pads are installed the sensor will not touch and the warning will go away. I would replace the wear sensors along with the pads since they now have been ground down.

How much difficulty did you have welding that seam with sealant you put directly behind and coming out of the front of the weld joint? Also..there is paint on both sides of that frame.

@@edshandymantips4862 disclaimer. I do not pass judgement on other tradesmen's work. I believe more or less we have the same occupation. Is it broken? I can fix that.. but. My current process welding tabs on the inside and using 3/16 ss rivets to make the connection where your weld seam would be. Then galvi or SS "cleats" on the bottom. The only reason I do this is to avoid any potential fires from whoever installed the frame. Again, this is just my way (of many ways) to achieve the same result. Good luck out there good sir

Hi Ed I’m in the exact same boat. I have .080” gap with no shims installed. I have a guy who offered to mill my block at his work. I’m hoping the same .200” will work for me as well. I looked up your starter and it’s for a 168 tooth ring gear like mine. I would assume I need to take the same amount off my 9509 starter block but don’t really have any way of knowing. My thinking is if the gear mesh gap starts roughly the same, and ring gear is the same size, I would need to move the pinion the same amount as the pinion is moving straight up against the same diameter ring gear. Guess I’ll find out if I’m right. Thank you so much for the specifics it helped me greatly.

Hi, Did you ever get around to doing a strip down on this unit. In the UK the dealer wants $230 to diagnose the problem (it was on the dash), how hard would that be? The part is $231 I never ever enev asked about the cost to fit so all in I guess it would be $550+. I am wondering if I can strip and fix the component. What do I have to loose?
