You really sold me on this tree. I have been on the fence for awhile now, and after all the forest devastation in California and Oregon from the fires and drought I'm never going and cutting of tree, or supporting the cutting of Christmas trees. I'm good with those that do, that's fine but for me never again! I plan on buying the 6.5 ft. Most realistic and really spending the time to fluff it and make it look fantastic like you did. You did a great job, thank you for this video it's better than everyone's I have seen, your just here's my tree you decide if it's what you want. I bought the same Balsam Hill Stratford spruce 7 1/2 ft. It took me a long time to fluff the branches too. I am a shorty only standing at 5’ and my ceiling was only 8 ft lol. I had ordered their Bethlehem star topper and it did not fit. Lol I ended up ordering the snow flake topper and set it inside the tree to make it fit. Did you run into any problems like me with your topper on the tree?

Have the same tree i like that its narrow but still looks full,just spend time fluffing those branches and it will be beautiful,happy fluffing!

Hello! Is this Balsam Hill tree 6.5 ft tall or 7.5 ft? The link shows 7.5 ft, but it looks to be just a little taller than you? Trying to see if the 6.5 ft one will work for my home. I like it a lot!

lol. . . the first time fluffing it does take a while, but it doesn't take that long after the first time. I hope that gives you some encouragement. :) Balsam trees really are great. . . I still love mine. :) Thank you so much for watching! :)

This video is a year old....I am curious....did you spend less time fluffing it this year? I spent close to 2 hours already fluffing it and I am hoping I won't spend that much time the second time around. If you have a video of what the tree looks like after being stored for 9-10 months then put back up the following year it would be interesting to see.

I did not spend a lot time fluffing the tree. I thought it was going to take me another couple of hours, but it didn't. It was about 30 minutes. I do have a new video. I put my tree up on Nov 1st and I think I put the video out on that same week. But, no, it should not take you as long to fluff. :) Hope that helps and thank you so much for watching! :)

You showed what Balsam Hill doesn’t show in their shaping videos. Now it makes sense to me, you really are literally supposed to bend down the unhinged branches on the top section. I think this is the part that so many people have a problem with including me, if you’re used to top sections that are just individual branches that are easy to bend down. But it seems very weird to have to bend down entire branches that themselves have other little branches attached. It’s like, am I gonna break the tree if I do this? And I guess the answer is no. I wish BH would be very specific about this. I’m glad you were! Thank you!

Anything under 9 foot still seems too small to me. I cant even begin to afford a Balsam Hill tree at, or above, 9 foot. 😔 They are truly beautiful tho!

I love 9 foot trees. They look so imposing, but my ceilings are only 9 feet so it would be too tall. :( They do have sales and even clearance items sometimes. :) Wishing you all of the best and thank you so much for watching! :)

We just set up a 7.5 ft Stratford Spruce. It also took me close to 2 hrs. We have ours in the corner so some of the back is not as fluffed. I will say the key it so bend out the pine branches as to spread out like an open palm. Once I realized that it started looking more and more full. Also at first I only fluffed the back branches with the tinsel looking pine needles. If you are looking for a easy pattern to follow then bend 2 out 5 up and to the left and right, bend the 2 on the outsides horizontally to the left and right and bend the one in the middle down. You can try that.

I get more of my decorating items in the mail on Wednesday and I will show that on Friday's video. But, I'm still looking for a few other things. So, You will see the majority of the tree finished on Friday's video, but if the stuff get's here early enough on Wednesday, I will post it on Wednesday.
