Sir , I tried making this q to understand the difference b/w core needle b/x and radical prostatectomy b/x . Score 3 pattern: 92% Score 4 pattern : 6% Score 5 pattern : 2% If the sample is a core needle b/x sample , it would have a Gleason score 3+5=8 as any amount of the WORST pattern is considered to be the secondary pattern . But if the sample is from a radical prostatectomy b/x , the score would be 3+4=7 as here , the minor pattern which has a conc. Of 5% or more is pattern 4 , making it the secondary pattern . I hope , I made the correct interpretation .

Patterns directly start from gr 3 onwards...no gr1 ,2

Sir what if the worst occurring pattern is the most common one also? Do we add the same grade twice to obtain the score or do we choose another histology grade other than this one?
