So instead of the slushie being 32° F, Blaine could have been hit in the face with a slushie that was 0° F. There's also another type of rock salt specifically designed for melting ice on roads that can cause an adverse effect and heat the slushie up to 175°F, Additionally, rock salt crystals are much larger and more jagged than regular table salt. Even just one crystal logged inside an eye can cause some serious damage to a person's cornea (which was what happened in Blaine's case). So yeah. Rock salt's some pretty serious shit.

It was more on stand by since they had to calculate the entire team was coming. Plus, everyone seems to forget that Kurt has at least 2 to 3 inches on Blaine. Plus, Blaine charged with his head and torso down rather than upright. If you calculate the difference, then that means Sebastian was aiming for Kurt's CHEST rather than his face. So the only thing that would get ruined would be Kurt's clothes.

It's very obvious that this is all choreographed, but for a moment, imagine that everyone arrived to this spot and everyone knew their part, chorus, soloist, background, etc. I just love Santana's voice in the chorus!!
