When people are scared, they panic. When they panic, they don't think. And if anyone is allowed to carry a gun, stuff like this will happen. They will pull a gun out, they will fire either at random or they will just let the gun go off because they get freaked out. And when that happens, a lot of bad things will happen, and that person's life will be ruined forever. Think about that before you say that everyone has the right to carry a gun
@hyden70197 жыл бұрын
At the same time. What if this was actually a school shooting? No one in the school would have a gun to defend themselves. The media often shows people getting shot, but they don't show you the times when people have shot in self defense and saved tons of lives. Stuff like this won't happen either, before you're allowed to carry a gun, you have to be a certain age and you have to prove that you're capable of firing it, maintaining it, when to use it, how to use it correctly, etc.

One of the reasons I admired glee so much is because of the fact that they brought REAL issues to light. Homophobia (with Britanna and Klaine), dyslexia, death, autism, etc. It may not have been the most entertaining shows but it was definitely one of the most eye opening shows when I was trying to figure out the truth of the world myself. And I’ll always be grateful that Glee never made me feel as though I was alone in feeling whatever I was feeling at that time. Glee may not be my favourite show, but it sure as hell taught me so much more than I thought it even could. That a show ever could.

That is exactly the point. Glee has always played with sensitive issues and Gun Control (or the lack of) in the US is a huge problem. They also show how many people succumb to their own problems and 'resolve' them by committing suicide. It is extreme sad, indeed, but is an unfortunate reality.

Just from seeing scenes with Sue and her sister and this scene (along with other scenes with her and Becky), it's evident that she has a kind heart. I just think that she was always cruel and demeaning because it made people think of her as a powerful person and she might think showing kindness is a sign of weakness so these particular scenes are very comforting to see. Jane Lynch is an amazing actress and no one could have played this role better than her💕

I absolutely love Sue's relationship with Becky. It's so pure. Sue is basically Becky's guardian angel, she is willing to get fired rather than to face blame on her. Becky pretty much brings Sue down-to-earth from atop her rage mountain. Their relationship reminds me and my best friend which is ironic because her name was Becky but I was the one who has Down's Syndrome
@heddalee3 жыл бұрын
I do think almost everyone misunderstands this scene, and the ones that follow. Sue *told* Will that Becky fired the shots right here, and Will understood what Sue was saying. She's actually asking people (other McKinley HS staff) who don't know Becky as well as Sue does, to fix the situation. All Sue is doing is buying Becky a bit of time. Sue has zero interest in covering up for Becky in full.
@alyssagraceryan12133 жыл бұрын
@@heddalee I get what you're saying, but some people who have disabilities do know what is right and what is wrong. My only problem here with Becky and Sue's friendship is that Sue somewhat takes advantage of her loyalty. Though it would have been nice to see Sue, Will and Becky try and figure things out together rather than Sue up and leave only to come back as principal in the fifth season. I may not have been in a similar position with a school shooting, but I do know what it feels like to be scared and thinking irrationally
@heddalee3 жыл бұрын
@@alyssagraceryan1213 Oh, I'm not saying anything about Becky's state of mind. What I'm interested in is how the adults handle what happened, and what they did (Sue, Will, and Roz) is push Becky along towards confessing to Figgins on her own terms.
@alyssagraceryan12133 жыл бұрын
@@heddalee I completely understand on the adults part. Although, in my personal opinion the adults should have tread lightly with Becky into her telling Figgins on her own terms. I would also would have really liked to have seen Becky's parents talk with the adults of her actions and see what her punishment would be. Though expulsion is little extreme in this case, just suspend Becky for like a week or two. I would also like to have seen a counselor help Becky with her anxiety of leaving McKinley and entering the outside world, so that something like this doesn't happen again.

Oh my god this whole scene was so ready. How quickly Sue took responsibility. How nervous but serious Becky was. How calm and approachable sue was trying to be. How you could hear the real fear in both of their voices. And when the gun went off and Becky started crying I actually lost it. The fear and pain that Becky had caused wasn't intentional, there was nothing she could do. She was scared.
