Honestly I agree with them not getting married. I liked what Quinn said that they are not mature or old enough to properly process this whole marriage thing. I'm barely 20 years old and I've been proposed to at least twice. They were very short engagements and I understand that in the heat of the moment and you think you love the person you're with, you think anything is possible and marriage would be the greatest thing in the world,. But after those two experiences I have to say there's no rush whatsoever. Live together for a while and see how you're lifestyles are when you're not in public. People can be very different at home. And engagements require a lot of thinking cause marriage aside you have a lot of decisions to make whether it's about the wedding and how you see yourselves once you're married. Little details that require some thinking before you say yes. I'm not saying there's a timeline cause there isn't one, but 17 or 18 is too young to be thinking about marriage. You can be a totally different person in 5, 10, 15 years.

Simfan923 I really do think it's also a little culture based. Americans are more okay with marrying young I think than most western European countries would be. To me, I'm eighteen, even the idea of marriage is something that I haven't even considered. To me that's something you don't think about at this age. But on the other hand, it's common to go to college or university where I'm from so that's the only future you have in mind until you're 25

Honestly, I’m seeing a lot of “they’re too young” but my mother got married at 18 and the marriage between her and my dad is still going strong. I don’t think it’s age by itself but maturity and the ability to think clearly. I know several people thing young getting engaged, and a few of them are totally not ready, but the number that are and really understand the commitment really surprised me. The club was right to express they didn’t feel they were ready because they aren’t, but honestly you never know with love.

Let me say what I say about this scene: Ok, sure Rachel and Finn were young to get married, but I don't like how the new directions being so unsupportive to Rachel and Finn. I totally understand Quinn and Kurt's reaction they were barely adults, probably even still teenagers and they're already talking about getting married. It's not like they had a perfect relationship either they were constantly arguing, fighting, breaking up and getting back together and their relationship just doesn't seem stable enough. Quinn also had a point that they probably aren't mature enough to think this true, studies show that the average human brain fully matures at 25 and something tells me they probably aren't even 20 yet. They just aren't mature and old enough to comprehend how big of a deal this is especially Finn who's always have been slow and oblivious, they just don't want them to rush things and end up divorcing each other after 3 years.

You need to understand that he wanted the best for his friends and he knew from experience that the proposal would just end up hurting them and she wanted them to be happy and have a good life but he was barely over a breakup and he did end up apologizing for not even ten minutes later when he was helping Brittany. You can tell that he doesn't want his friends to go through the same pain that he went through. But I do get what you mean. Because I did read the book We'll Always Have Summer where two characters get engaged when they were in college. I knew right when I read the description that this wasn't going to end well but I still supported their relationship.

Okay, but as someone who comes from a small ass town, this isn't uncommon. A lot of couples I knew in high school got married right after high school (a lot of the time one of them would enlist, so it makes sense to me that Finn did that in the show), so this plotline wasn't far out of reach. Especially considering that they live in Lima, Ohio.... which is supposed to be a small town. Yes some of the couples I knew of did get divorced within a several years, but most are still married. It's not unheard of in small towns. 🤷🏽‍♀️ That being said, I wish her and Finn would've gotten married, considering what comes soon after.... 🥺😫😭😟😥😔😢

@@kileybrennan5355 dumped blaine for no reason? lmao, he had plenty of reasons. when he mentions to blaine how ridiculous it is that they got into a 3 hour fight over kurt using a towel when he still had toothpaste on his face, blaine said “well how is anyone supposed to use it after you do that?” that childish reply implies that despite him whining “i know we can make this work!” a minute later, he isn’t willing to make it work, he’s willing to double down on freaking out over a washable towel. kurt also mentions in a deleted scene that he felt pressured to say yes to blaine’s proposal because of all the people he brought to watch. kurt should’ve left blaine the second he confessed that he needed kurt to depend on him like he did during the karofsky situation. blaine is terrible at relationships, more than most people on the show and certainly more than kurt.

Kurt sometimes really pisses me off! I like him most of the time but Kurt keeps saying "You're too young to get married!!"
