Imagine if it had been Karofsky and Kurt rather than Blaine and Karofsky. Yes, he had been an awful person, but he did everything he could to redeem himself and we shouldn’t forget that aspect. Karofsky is a complicated character which I wish Glee didn’t forget a few times in favor of Rachel, who is my favorite character but even I know she got too much attention. Karofsky and Kurt’s relationship could’ve been something really sweet. A gentleman Karofsky who holds the door open for Kurt and buys him sickeningly sweet gifts and just doing what he believes Kurt deserves. And, as for Kurt, just imagine him trying to enjoy things Karofsky enjoys like watching Monday night football or other masculine things Karofsky probably still enjoys even after coming out(I always liked that Karofsky was a gay who didn’t chase after the stereotypes and was, instead, still himself just into guys).

When I was in high school, some bullies would try to beat me up and call me queer as I didn't fight back. Many years later, they are the ones who turned out to asking me out and one did actually try to kiss me. (There wasn't one that I would go out with as they were all toads) Throughout the years I learned that bullies are just cowards and many who "pretend" to beat you up are just covering themselves so they can put their arms around you. Yes, I was the blonde curly haired guy who was different in school. I also learned much too late that if you knock the crap out of them just one time, they will never bother you again as they are just sissies in disguise and are actually afraid of being hit!! Watching Glee sometimes brings back memories from when I was in high school and don't want to relive those incidents ever again.

honestly I'm glad Karofsky had his chance with Blaine. Blaine is such an emotionally invested lover, and so sincere and present, it gave Karofsky the chance to hope for a healthy real relationship, to feel in Blaine what rescued Kurt. Blaine was the ointment, the antidote of pain. Karofsky needed to feel that, and to experience that depth, even briefly. But still feel that it's possible. Kurt is a whole other personality type that still wasn't open to Karofsky having been estranged and disconnected from prolonged bullying. Kurt can forgive Karofsky sincerely but still have that distance towards Karofsky engrained unfortunately. I wish Kurt had handled Karofsky with a lot more care and availability for him before he tried to take his life, especially since Kurt and Blaine are both so perceptive about picking up signs in others. He probably would've helped him gain strength so much more to help Dave deal better when he got outted. On one hand, I don't blame Kurt, but the other more importantly, he missed out on doing a lot of good for a fellow teen struggling with his identity in a manner Kurt lives in. lesson learned: forgive, be available, and initiate talks the other can't start and wish they can.

Why? Karofsky literally sexually harrassed and assaulted Kurt. He terrified him for years and made him transfer schools. Kurt forgiving karofsky was nice, but after all that happened I seriously doubt he could love him. He made Kurt absolutely miserable, Blaine was the one who helped get Kurt out of that situation. Don't get me wrong I do love the Kurt-Karofsky friendship and potential relationship they could have had, but part of me also wonders if Karofsky was only in love with the idea of him and Kurt - I mean, if it hadn't been for Kurt, Karofsky wouldn't have been able to be open and come out about who he was like Kurt and I wonder if he might have believed that going out with Kurt would have been good for him and maybe would have kept him safe from some of the bullying because Kurt was not afraid of who he was and what other people thought of him unlike how he felt, but again, Kurt helped him through all of that which is why I couldn't have been more hopeful that something good was coming for them in the future.

kenanthoughts I liked how karofsky developed as a person. Obviously I hated what he did to Kurt in seasons 1 and 2 before the kiss and the apology. He went from a bullying jock with a lot of insecurity and pain inside him to a man with integrity, compassion and the fact he accepted who he is. I was sickened by the way Karofsky was treated by his new school too and I’m fortunate to see that he stuck around and was saved by his dad in time. It reminded me of the hell kurt went through.
