He went to the writers and got them to write in the cheating plot. He even guest starred on Supergirl, Melissa’s other show, because he didn’t want her around other men on set.

She worked hard on her original songs, getting over her eating disorder, trying to keep the glee club together after they lost, in her relationships like with Kitty, etc. Marley was determined in so much she was just also kind and had boundaries with people that she respected.

@@chillstudy8223 it’s clear you just hate her character from the fact that everyone always just brings up that sunshine incident and then uses that to vilify her even though she apologized and made amends in the end. Which still ofc doesn’t justify it but she learned from her mistake and grew. Everyone seems to shit on Rachel for the way she acts but no one seems to question why. She was clearly heavily bullied even way before and this dream of hers was all she had so ofc she was going to be very protective and defensive of it. Yes she’s entitled and selfish, but the more you practice the better you become and she strove to achieve all the opportunities. If the rest didn’t fight back as much and merely rolled their eyes and complained but didn’t actually DO anything about it, then guess what? It’s because they didn’t WANT it enough. Fight for the things you want. It’s one of the reasons why Rachel respected Kurt and Mercedes so much. They were quite literally the only two who actually fought for their performances in the group as well. If you can’t stand up for what you want then you’re never going to make it. Also, you don’t know Harry styles. You don’t know his life experiences or what he’s been through or what he’s had to endure. It’s a lot easier to be kinder to the people around you when you’ve already made it. One direction was literally already famous as soon as they debuted on the X-Factor. There was never a moment in their career where they truly had to fight for attention and for theirs fans. Or for people to listen. So don’t compare them to people who are truly starting from the ground and working their way up.

I always figured there was something of Marley that reminded Quinn of herself. The eating disorder, while manifesting in different ways, was something that really made me think of how Quinn got pregnant in the first place (drank her sorrows because she felt fat right after cheerleading practice. I always wondered if Quinn instinctively recognized a fellow eating disorder victim even if she couldn't consciously recognize it.

Quinn’s biggest priority at the beginning of high school was popularity. It was the most important thing to her. To be liked. Also when Quinn says she “gave him her virginity” It’s because that’s how she was raised by her overt religious conservative parents. Puck r3ped Quinn - he got her drunk when she was insecure (from her ed) and was naive & a virgin. He lied about protection and took advantage of her- there’s a scene showing all of this and after queen said so herself crying in S1. Also here in this scene- Quinn worries Jake will do what puck did cause they’re brothers and she’s sees a lot of Marley in herself; “the girl who wants to fit in and be loved” this literally refers to Quinn, she left her old school because she was bullied and had an Ed. She joined McKinley and wanted to fit in and be loved like Marley. Quinn also ends up being right because Jake pressured Marley then cheated when she said no. (Puck was worse tho)
