Kitty and Quinn started like the mean girls of the cast, but later we could see that they became better people, the difference is that we could noticed Quinn change through more seasons, and Kitty only in half a season. Kitty in season 6 says that she really missed to perform with the glee club, and that they were they only true friends, and In a deleted scene Kitty explains the reason why she was a bitch to Marley in season 4. Both were great characters!

Jake should’ve been paired with Mike so that he could take his dancing to the next level and learn to lead with the choreographing more instead of being shy about it Marley should’ve been partnered with Quinn since Quinn struggled with being accepted in school (as Lucy and her pregnancy) she also had eating problems, something she could’ve helped Marley with Ryder and Mercedes because both were always overlooked. Jake often takes the spotlight from Ryder who feels he isn’t as good, Mercedes experiences with Rachel could have boosted his confidence a bit more. Unique and Santana, both express themselves the best with music, Santana could only declare her love for Brittany through song and Unique didn’t come out as trans till her performance. It’s an interesting paring because they’re so different, Santana would have helped Unique understand more about herself through song like she did since self discovery was important to both of them. Kitty paired with Puck (ignoring that they date later) both began as bullies who changed because of Glee, Puck could’ve related to her since his popularity suffered like her’s.Other footballers slushed him, like how other cheerleaders gang up on Kitty later. Puck makes lifelong friends in Glee with people who genuinely cared for him and helped him pass, Kitty would then form similar friendships with people who support her for dating Artie than the other cheerleaders who bully her for it. Both had a helpful support group in Glee at the end of the show with people they never would’ve talked to. This show had so much potential for complexity that it never tapped into with its new cast. The writing for this scene was mediocre and just partnered the old/new recycled characters together. What a waste lol but I think these pairings would’ve been more interesting and important for character growth.

Istg Santana and Marley are literally so perfect for each other. Complete opposites but they relate behind the curtains. They both struggled with EDs, they’re both fiercely loyal and Santana can stand up for Marley and teach her how to believe and be confident in yourself. I really wish we had seen more of them and their mentor-student relationship
