This scene makes me cry, because Naya talks like Finn in real life... in her book she talks about how she could have done something to help Cory with his addiction but now she can only wonder because it just happened so fast and now he´s gone...
@Cintss78 жыл бұрын
The only one to blame for that horrible tragedy is Cory himself. Lea didnt even know he was doing drugs again!!! How could his loved ones could have helped him if he acted like everything was fine???
@renataag77828 жыл бұрын
Cintss7 I don't think we should blame anyone, and by saying that Naya "could only blame herself" I meant that she just feels powerless because it is what it is. And maybe no one knew he was on drugs again but Cory used to be sober and one night he decided to drink because he wanted to do it responsibly and it's all downhill from there.
@Beeba108 жыл бұрын
Cintss7 Addiction is very hard to break, believe me. Cory had a relapse, like a lot of drug addicts - when he died, it was the first time he had taken drugs since getting out of rehab. A lot of deaths of relapsing drug addicts often occur because the addict doesn't realise that, since they've been away from the drug for some time, their tolerance for it has lowered. They take the same amount that they would have before, thinking they'll be fine, but of course they aren't. That's what happened to Cory. It wasn't his FAULT, it wasn't anyone's fault, he just couldn't take it any more, gave in to temptation, and unfortunately wasn't made aware of the dangers of taking the same amount.

Naya (Santana) mentioned in her book that she wished she could have done something to help Cory (Finn). She wondered that if one day she had walked to her car a little slower maybe, just maybe, he might’ve been able to come to her for help. It breaks my heart watching this scene, and how, even thought he didn’t commit suicide, and over dosed, he feels the same way Santana felt after his passing...

This episode wouldn't work now and barely worked then. Having a straight guy force her out of the closet under his terms would be seen as problematic for sure. I appreciate where Finn's heart was at, but his attitude that the ad is going to run so he gets to decide how she should deal with it was extremely flawed. Everything was already being forced on her. A true friend would have talked to her about it one on one and then been patient enough to let her come to terms. This was about Finn trying to make himself feel better about what happened.

Outing someone is wrong always. That being said, in the context of the show, Santana was a bully. To everyone. And she even threatened to Out Dave so that she could be Prom Queen. And she said it loudly in a public area as well. The only difference is that no one there had a reason to out Dave if they overheard that conversation... She clearly had no problem with outing people and being a total bitch. But the second someone was mean to her back or outed her (something the commercial did) she just... couldn't take what she so willingly dished out.

I hated that he was never called out for outing her. Hated that they never had him straight up say "I'm sorry" or that nobody called him out for what he did, especially Kurt. Hated that Mr. Schue acted like Santana slapped Finn for no reason in Figgins' office when he knew Finn was wrong for outing her. Then to cut the scene where Santana came out to the Cheerios was just crazy to me. For all of the mean things Santana may have done, there was also a laundry list of how she stood by her friends in support. She was never simply a mean girl, and it would have been ok to show that sometimes Finn wasn't simply the nice guy. They were supposed to be teens, and teens make mistakes, should have let them own it on camera. Would have also liked to have seen Santana maybe have some severe backlash because of all of it like her having to leave home for a while, just to show the seriousness of what could have happened to her because Finn didn't know how to go toe to toe with her without outing her in anger.

I find performances from this show to be “best” or most successful when the actor’s emoting can break through the character context, and in the moment of it airing or being viewed the performance literally ignites, or changes something within us, the viewers out here. You guys act like Santana didn’t try to out Karofsky, by blackmailing him to be run for prom king with her

And? That doesn't excuse what Finn did. And Finn was supposed to be the "righteous" one. Santana was the villain, she was supposed to do shady shit. And there's a big difference between saying and doing. Go on

1. This episode and the previous one was about Santana coming out instead they made it mostly about Finn 2. U guys need to remember that Finn isn’t the good guy here, he forced her to come out and outed her in front of everyone and it wasn’t right. U need to let someone come out when they feel it’s right not when u feel it is bc it’s not ur decision.

i was sobbing all the way through this for multiple reasons 1 Cory's dead R.I.P 2 The thought of anyone being outed or killing themselves over something like this(fear of inacceptance or getting bullied) 3 I'm still in the closet only 2 ppl know I'm bi, I am terrified at the thought that my Father wont accept me.

I can relate to the 2nd reason, I cut since I'm gay.

sometimes it seems really scary to tell people until you actually do and then it's like a huge weight off your shoulders :) i told my dad and his girlfriend about 3 years ago that i like girls as well as guys (i'm not a fan of the term "Bi" to describe me coz it's their personality i fall for not a piece of anatomy) and it felt so good to finally stop denying when people were like "are you eyeing a girl up?" like i cried for at least 30 mins when i told them but saying it out loud even to yourself can feel like a relief because you're telling the truth like you're not hiding behind a charade :) like you don't have to tell him straight away but as Crimley said just reassure them that you are still you :) hope everything goes okay for you xxx
