@@itsnikovargas Before everything happened, Naya was learning Spanish. In fact she was raising her son as bilingual, at home she spoke to him in Spanish and so did the nanny, who was Chilean. A pity not to have the opportunity to listen to her in Spanish. Forgive my mistakes, English is not my language.

im a native spanish speaker and i can confirm that "duende" just means "dwarf". nothing else but "dwarf".
@ilunaker10322 жыл бұрын
Actually, it means something else related to flamenco music in Spain (and clearly it was what Schuster was refering to) : "el duende", or more accurately, when "alguien tiene duende" (someone has duende) is used when some dancer/singer/musician has an special charisma and power to express via their art their feelings and their soul. As a concept, it originates from the Romanis (gitanos) and their flamenco, the reason why "el duende" is also called "el duende gitano" (The Romaní duende). Understandable that in Latin American countries "duende" only is known to mean "imp", as the musical usage of the word is specific to Spain.

"They all love my performance," Schue says, yet if you look closely at the Glee Club's faces during his performance, several members seem less than impressed. 3:02 Rachel looks uneasy and embarrassed and Quinn looks very judgmental. For a split second at 3:12 we see the Glee Club and several of them don't seem taken at all with the performance. 3:24 Kurt barely claps at all and looks disapproving, 3:26 Puck barely claps either and it's obvious that he found the representation extremely cringey and is showing his distaste. At 3:53, although it's after the performance, Mercedes looks like she's really agreeing with Santana and is waiting for Schue to try and justify himself (and like she's 100 % prepared to see him fail). Now, maybe they just feel uneasy because the performance is way too extra and cringeworthy, but I wonder if some of the students here didn't somehow perceive that this was extremely offensive or at the very least of poor taste. The characters usually look enthusiastic even during Schue's worst performances, so I think that they actually did NOT like the performance at all. Especially given how these particular characters reacted to Santana's performance right before.

He 's a terrible language teacher, all of us who have taken any language course come to know about the culture of the country since its language is derived from that culture (worth the redundancy). P.S: I remember that in a video with many views about Mr. Schue's presentation as a bullfighter, non-Latin people said that Santana was rude and exaggerated for complaining about it; the only thing I saw was a lot of people who haven't had to go through xenophobia and who haven't had their culture trampled on (which Hollywood has done for decades).

It always bugged me how Mr. Shue called out Santana for complaining about him. 1) He's a grown ass adult in a position of power and she's a teenager. 2) Students need to always feel safe enough to bring up concerns without fear of retaliation by the goddamn teacher. Shows he's not only a shitty teacher, but a shitty leader as well.
