CocoButter I heard it was because of the rocky relationship between the actresses- but they are acting. Whether they like each other or not, they’re acting. They get paid to do it. The show took Rachel and Santana into the right direction, but they undid it because of their actresses. It’s stupid. It made their friendship seem superficial all along, which isn’t true considering how much Rachel and Santana had grown fond of each other over the years- unlike Naya and Lea.

Both couples still managed to sell love stories that were considered a classic of its time, regardless of how much they did or didn’t like each other. If it was ever revealed Chris Colfer and Lea Michele weren’t crazy about each other on Glee, I wouldn’t really care while watching their *characters*, because they sold the Hummelberry friendship beautifully and it’s the art that remains.

Whenever I feel hurt and lonely I replay the part when Santana says "You're gonna be okay, it's okay" over and over again, and cry at the sound of Naya's voice just to let all my bottled emotions pour out in order to make myself feel a little better. It's very comforting to hear her say that, even if it's as a fictional character. I hope she is at peace wherever she is. RIP Naya, a goddess who brought joy and assurance to so many people. ❤️

i understand why people would want to see a better and friendlier friendship between santana and rachel, but this scene where santana is genuinely caring and comforting hits so much harder. with the constant insults and fighting between them, the sudden change is so much different than rachel and kurt’s type of affection. i like that their friendship was a little toxic, because that’s just how they are. also, i don’t think they’d actually become true friends. a stable, nice friendship between these two would just be boring. plus the only timer santana shows repetitive affection is when she’s with Brittany and i like that.

But the fact that santana was significantly reduced on the second half of season 5 and the whole season 6 didn't give us enough time to get used to the ideia that their friendship was restored, and i actually belive that they were friends also there's difference between being vulnerable and being a good person, santana was vunerable only with britt but she was a good friend to a lot of people at some point. There's also a little something called ✨character development✨ and santana's character development was painfully destroyed by their feud so much more than rachel's. And honestly the lack of long lasting female friendships on this show is just annoying at this point

I think they made relativaly good job with Santana's character development but it could have been so much better
