In all fairness, I've been in Rachel's shoes. Granted, the guy wasn't a prostitute, but my friend kept telling me he was no good. I was so blinded that I nearly pushed that friend away completely because, frankly, I really needed some therapy and a slap full of common sense. It was annoying that Rachel kept denying it, but she had also just met a guy who makes her happy when most of her life has been jokes and mockery from people like Santana. Granted, Santana was taking massive steps in the right direction, but it's still difficult to get past the kind of torment that she dished out and she had only just moved in. I probably would've questioned myself if my friend had taken it so seriously that she sang Paula Abdul at the guy, but I completely understand where Rachel was coming from there.

Hey speaking of dissing and roasting, can someone explain this joke to me? It sounded like something Santana would say. At my brother's reception, in the hall, the banquets manager was giving this worker a hard time. She was mad at him for signing up for a service by himself, claiming he couldn't do that and that he needed someone to guide him. It was like, "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen." I'm guessing he has a learning disability, and thus why she didn't trust his skills and independence. Then he said to her, "You know, I'm beginning to see why you work so many wedding receptions." What's the roast? I don't get it.

The concept of "Alone" in this story is only about this particular caterer working a shift _alone._ Apparently the boss thinks if he does, he'll fail or mess up. She said she didn't think he could manage the shift alone, and no wonder he felt the need to insult her back. But I don't get his roast. I get it enough to disagree it's your interpretation. The key word here is "why?" In his joke, there's a "why" she works so many wedding receptions. In the joke, it's about the woman's choice and will, not people's choice and will to avoid dealing with her. "I'm beginning to see why you work so many wedding receptions." But why is that, as far as the joke goes.
