Danna Herrera well Finn is gone since Cory died in real life after Season 4 and Finn kind of seems like he keeps everyone in line and all his friends seemed to go downhill after he died everyone including Sam,Rachel...etc... mainly more Sam. Sam probably could have took Finns death the hardest since all the others didn’t go as far downhill as Sam did after Finn Died.

I think that's the only thing that slightly irked me in this scene was somehow they were trying to motivate him the wrong way. "WE need you" "You can't quit" "I know how you feel" No, they don't. Rachel and Finn are both in stable households with some measure of disposable income (with Finn not so much but Rachel's room is decked out) and both are single children. I respect their attempts at empathy, but why not offer to help babysit while Sam works, or dig around the community a bit to help sniff out some job opportunities? Don't get me wrong what they do is still very kind, but it's not like he wanted to quit. He's trying to think of what's best for his family.

Chord Overstreet's acting in this scene is excellent, I love his lines about how news travels fast around the school, cause it ties into one of Glee's themes about feeling broken down or sad, or scared of being ridiculed, mocked, or put upon by others, and that's something Sam has always expressed throughout the season, it's a genuine fear for him. It also makes me disappointed about what they did to his character later on, oh why did they have to fuck up his characterization? The only thing about this scene that rubs me the wrong way is Finn and Rachel insisting on doing whatever it takes to keep him in the Glee Club. IDK, it just comes off to me as if they're saying, "Oh no Sam, you can't leave Glee Club. We need you to keep singing backup for us while we belt out many duets".

That happened to me with my childhood home. My mom designed it, and my dad built it. Lived there from age 4 to about 9. Until some hotshot build a mansion on our road, and all of our taxes were raised. We couldnt afford to live there anymore and had to sell our things. I will still drive by it sometimes. And always tell my fiance i will buy it back one day.. times can be hard. But the universe wont put you through more than you can handle. Eventually things look up....

Sam was the best character since the start. In s2 I feel like he was holding back his true self, scared of being judged and scared of people thinking he was stupid and dorky, then he slowly started to open up because he saw that everyone in glee was freaking nuts. He was sweet, caring and underappreciated, had an amazing voice and was nice to everyone, and he was also going through some tough shit. He had to move from his city, he was dyslexic, he started getting kinda bullied after joining glee club, his girlfriend cheated on him, and then he got homeless, he lived in a motel room with other 4 people, had to constantly be with his siblings, sell everything he owned, work as a delivery pizza man, and all of that while he was only 15, he was literally a child. Then in s3 he has to move out AGAIN, so he loses all of his friends, then we find out he became a stripper to help his family with money (and I have so many bad head canons for this, I really don't want to think about what could've happened while he was working here), then he moves to Ohio and for two years he has to live away from his family, and I think we got how much family means for him, then Blaine says that nasty comment about not being for sale, and then he gets his heart broke again by Mercedes, and this while he's still struggling with dyslexia, and he was 16 THEN in s4 he had to deal with people calling him dumb, his girlfriend calling him dumb and making his whole confidence go under his feet, he thought twice that the world was ending, his girlfriend loved her cat more than him, then his Brittany broke his heart by breaking up with him, and I think he knew from the start that she was going to crawl back to Santana, and that makes everything more sad, then he gets the lowest SAT score in the whole school, he starts thinking that he's not enough and that he only has his body, he clearly had an eating disorder (orthorexia), he was still dealing with dyslexia, he had to deal with a fucking school shooting that gave him traumas and a clear PTSD, he had Evan Evans as his copying mechanism, but everyone thought it was stupid, he was also in a relationship with Penny, that was literally an adult and took advantage of him, all of that while being the best fucking boyfriend and friend in the world, he was 16/17 in s5 he loses one of his best friends, he loses the competition that they dedicated to him, he gets his heart broke AGAIN by Mercedes, he moves to New York and only god knows when was the last time he was his parents and siblings, he had really low self-esteem, he didn't believe in himself, his girlfriend made him give away his dog (that's probably the worst thing he experienced in the whole show /j), and his photographer literally sexually assaulted him, he was 17/18 in s6, he's literally left alone in Ohio by all of his friends, his only friends there are Will and Sheldon. I understand if you think they made him too dumb, I partially agree and think that they probably did it to fill the whole that Finn left once he wasn't a main character anymore, and of course once Cory died, and to also fill the void Brittany left when she went to college and wasn't in the show for the rest of the season, but I've read a lot of shitty comments about him that I really don't understand, he was ALWAYS a sweetheart with everyone, literally the only bad thing I can think of that he did or said is when he tells Ryder that him being molested as a child is not a big deal because he's a boy and she was a girl (I don't remember exactly what he said), and that really made me disappointed, but I think it was really OOC, and anyway, again, it's literally the only bad thing I can think of right now. No one treated girls like he did, he was the best friend ever to Blaine, he was so supportive to everyone, he went through a lot and everyone treated him like he was a child and couldn't take care of himself. I don't see where he was a tool or a douchebag like you are all calling him here

Also he clearly told Quinn and Kurt and he should have told Rachel and Finn too because when 2 people aren’t around there’s the oppsite two to be there for him when he truely needs it even if it was hard for him to tell everyone. Sam was being no better than Finn was by not telling Finn and Rachel also right off the bat that he was homeless. If a friend sees or hears someone is homeless they just don’t leave them in a motel or on the street and also no Quinn and Kurt shouldn’t be the only two helping Sam out with his homeless situation. All of Sams friends should help him out he’s homeless at this point in the series.

what i didn't like about the way this storyline was handled was that finn and rachel have the day when quinn and kurt were the ones actively helping him and the rest of them were judging i know it's important for them to say sorry but the way finchel comes in it's like 'we're your saviors now and it's alright now that we helped' when again quinn and kurt have been helping them maybe they should have had more quinn and kurt and sam scenes instead of making all about finchel yet again and this is why i didn't like the fabrevans break up as well because they obviously still cared for each other they just wanted to do it for finchel drama and to make quinn go ~crazy~ again because she couldn't do that while happy with sam i like finchel but glee never ceased to make everything about them and once cory died that was transferred over to klaine which i like as well but i don't like when everything is about them when that's not the only reason i'm watching the show

Night Frost i think it’s because sam only told certain people he was homeless and finn and Rachel were left out of the loop for the longest time and didn’t realize sam was homeless until someone told them he was homeless other wise they would have helped Quinn&Kurt save Sam since sam probably only told Quinn&Kurt and didn’t want everyone to be his savior all at one time since he was probably having a hard time dealing with it and since he had half of the people judging him he was probably worried Finn and Rachel would judge him as well. Since the title of the video is Finn and Rachel find out Sam is Homeless which would mean Finn&Rachel at first didn’t know Sam was Homeless. Sam was probably struggling with being homeless and was probably scared of getting judged by Finn and Rachel when it turns out Finn and Rachel probably would have been his saviors all along. Being homeless probably wasn’t easy on Sam since he was getting judged for it and probably didn’t know how to tell everyone about it

pauline sanchez this scene also proves that sam couldnt keep himself being homeless much longer either especially not after Kurt found out it was becoming more obvious Sam was truely homeless the longer Sam and his family stayed at the motel. Also trying to keep it a secret after Kurt found out or for however long was just stupid because it was excluding a lot of other people who would have truely helped him out who wanted to truely help him out like Rachel and Finn truely wanted to help him out and didn’t know because he never told them even it was hard he would have had a lot more people helping him out by being honest it’s always better to be truely honest. I feel like Rachel and Finn mainly more helped him because they wanted to and if Sam would have just told them the truth earlier they wouldn’t have had to force it out of him through mainly Finn. It’s like sam was half expecting people to just leave him out of the streets or in a motel because he was homeless when that’s not what true Friends do. Also his parents would have spent a lot of money at the motel alone if only Quinn and Kurt were the only 2 still trying to help Sam out.so it’s also a good thing Rachel and Finn found out the more help and support the better.

This happened to me, I relate, and this shows how real life can be for even the best off family’s, I lived in a mansion in the best neighbourhood in Melbourne, and then the bank blocked our account so we couldn’t get any money. The bank came in and told us to pack our things, we lived in an apartment with our grandparents for a year on a blowup mattress sharing a room with my sister. We had to sell our house and move into a rental. People don’t understand what hell I have been through, so seeing it in glee made my heart burst because I could relate.

Sam Sticka yeah well techincally banks are allowed to do that if the parents don’t pay the bills 24/7 to keep the house standing with the families in it maybe one of sams parents lost their job and couldn’t keep up with the bills and was in the process of looking for a new job while one parent still had enough money to pay for a motel. It’s not that banks have too much power it’s more the fact that banks aren’t happy with home owners if a bill payment doesn’t get made on time and getting an extension would be hard because bank workers have rules they have to follow other wise they’d get fired for not following the rules. Even businesses have rules they have to follow. Even if it seems like the bank is in the wrong they might not be the bank in the tv series could have noticed an unpaid payment on the house or something really truely important to keep the house over their heads for Sam’s family house something one of his parents didn’t notice because they were trying to raise 3 kids. Banks don’t just take houses away from people and families for the fun of it

Hey, people, glee meant very much for those kids. Ot was a place of comfort and discovery, made them all feel like they have a place where they belong no matter what. It gave them hope. Here Sam felt lost, he needs glee. Rachel only cared if he stayed for selfish reasons, but staying in glee club is still something that Sam truly needed.

I really related to his situation. I lived in a motel for 3 years and it was extremely traumatic because I was just a teenager being forced to work to support my brothers and mom. The only thing that kept me from killing myself was the fact that I was the only one keeping my family together. I now live in an apartment and I'm somewhat financially stable, but my mental health suffered immensely.

Claire 20020829 i think they were giving Sam his space until he’d talk to them. Since Sam didn’t want everyone to know he was homeless which wasn’t right because he could have had a lot more people other than just Quinn and Kurt helping him out since it was becoming more obvious he was homeless the longer he and his family stayed at the motel. And also surprisingly no one stranger wise ended up taking/stealing the guitar despite the fact that it was left outside. Also if Sam hadn’t been trying to keep him and his family truely being homeless a secret from everyone else around him who weren’t Quinn and Kurt then he’d be having a lot more people other than Quinn,Kurt,Rachel&Finn wanting to help him out Sam couldn’t keep the homeless part of his life a secret for much longer after Kurt found out
