I don't know if I'll keep watching this series anymore. It's clear I'm no longer the audience for it, and I honestly can't stand Mancini's poor writing at this point. He retcons way too much, making cannon really hard to get invested in. At a drop of a hat, he'll just change it for plot convenience.

As a gay democrat, I have to say that I was really disappointed by this episode. It was so bad that I even considered stop watching the show. I loved seed of Chucky when I was a kid and I was hoping this will be a chance to finally take the characters of Glen and Glenda seriously but instead, it felt like a bunch of dad jokes. I could not stand their “accents” and how stupid they made Tiffany seem. I’m sorry that you feel that the Chucky franchise is not for you anymore, honestly even as a gay person I sometimes question if it is for me when they do silly things like that. Out of boredom, I watched episode five and it did get better but it is just hard to ignore the stains from the mistakes made in previous episodes. I just want to say thank you for sharing your thoughts, even when we might not hundred percent agree on what made this episode so bad, I’m glad someone is bold enough to share his mind!! And you did so respectfully which I appreciate.

I think Mancini wants to make the show for a specific audience now. It doesn't really feel like a fun horror franchise that anyone could approach, it seems specifically made for the Twitter crowd. Mancini can do whatever he wants, but its just upsetting as a long time fan not really feeling welcomed in that community anymore because of the clear views he pushes in the show.

I gave up on the franchise after Seed. Curse was okay, but I absolutely HATED that dog pile crap they gave us last, which was Cult. At least I got some kind of enjoyment out of the last two films before it, but Cult was just a huge waste of my time. I never felt so betrayed and disappointed ever. And I never even bothered with the TV series, I knew it was going to suck too and it seemed like my intuition was correct.

I don’t understand how Glen/Glenda would forget their childhood like that. I guess Tiffany could’ve “brainwashed” them over the years, but I just feel like it isn’t that fitting. It seems like Don gets carried away with his writing, and just writes what fits his storyline. So in other words, he’ll disregard Chucky’s lore and create plot holes. It’s bad. Then he wanted to do a musical with Glen/Glenda, which is just a big nope. Way too corny for Chucky. I wish someone new would step in to help Don or something.

I feel it had really good potential, but they fell flat on a lot of ideas. The origin of chucky ultimate lead to nothing, Jake and Devons romance was rushed despite the 8 hours the show had, lexys redemption makes zero sense especially with how truly awful she is/was, just a multitude of things. The political side of it always comes off super preachy and obvious. Cool channel BTW, I like clowns. 😂

@@gamesjernst6563 well the flashback In the show makes better sense of it imo because Sarah couldn't have called the police she was handcuffed unless she dialed and locked herself back up so while Charles says he is going out I think he was referring to Sarah and when tiff found him cheating he must've so happened to be at Sarah's house I do see the issue with this retcon but I don't think it fits chucky at all he's supposed to a cool calm killer as Charles having Sarah tied up just makes him look like a creep on some halloween 6 type shit

I think the show is a fine continuation of the movies, no way a killer doll wouldn't become camp af. I don't blame you for not liking the pronouns thing being so in everyone's face with that specific scene, though, there are classier ways to show your character's identities. But don't act like people like that aren't common, won't rudely and condescending ask "what the hell are you supposed to be?" It's what queers deal with often, so it's not an inaccurate portrayal of real life. The killing for it part… maybe, depends on the person. As for the, there aren't many Christians who "don't care if your gay" that's a lie.

I appreciate the understanding. Though one thing I'll say is if you honestly judge or hate someone for who they decide to sleep with, you're not a real Christian. You cannot claim to be one. I see a lot of people in the queer community have a bad experience with the church and claim its everyone. I don't like that stigma with the LGBTQ community. I'm not perfect when it comes to that though, I'll admit there's groups out there that I simply cannot stand. An example is pedos and murderers. I know I shouldn't, but I wish nothing, but ill will on those who decide to ruin others. My point in bringing that up though in the video is I don't like Mancini painting Christians out to be judgemental homophobes when most in my community couldn't care less. We love all who come into our church and seek the word of God.

Okay I want to make this clear. I don't like what Don has done to the franchise and at times, his writing can REALLY be obnoxious and bad. But I have to defend some things here. Glen and Glenda not remembering their history is no issue. Kids tends to remember more when they're younger so you can get around that issue saying that when they were older and adapted more to their human side, those doll memories were erased. Most folks don't remember their toddler years for example because their minds need room to remember the things experienced later, so where you could recall events from when you were 2 or 3 years old when you were much younger, now being an adult, those memories are no longer there. The whole CURSE retcon was silly because it contradicts the original. CLR was being tracked down because he and Eddie had just did a robbery and later on during a news report this is stated. Don clearly wasn't paying attention. Also, if you notice in the opening, Mike Norris takes off a disguise outfit he was wearing because there was deleted scenes showing him pretending to be a woman that CLR and Eddie try to attack that you can even read in the script online. Made no sense to cut this if they're still gonna have Mike tear off his disguise, so there you go. It would have been nice if CURSE maintained this. Tiffany being the one who called the police makes more sense than Sara given she was tied up. Although CURSE indicated Sara called them when CLR confronts her about it and she doesn't deny a thing, how could she!!! So the TV show actually FIXES this one. I frankly hate the way the show handled Glen and Glenda because Don got too swallowed into this LGBT thing he had to make them both nonbinary which makes their whole arc in Seed meaningless because if it's that the case, why not just have them remain a doll where he was gender merged as it is. He should have kept as regular boy and girl, had Lachlan as Glenda and a male as Glen and went from there. Don's stance on LGBT also affected Chucky because notice we only see him inhabit the bodies of FEMALES like Alice, Nica, and then that elderly psychiatrist woman who was aiding him in Seasons 1 and 2. So now Chucky wants to be female now? Ridiculous.

I feel an explanation for when Glen and Glenda are non binary if because they are one soul that feels comfort in both genders. Also, not having genitals they really were just neither. So in seed shitface was looking for a family and an identity. He got a family. They gave them the option he didn't know he had and really was indifferent to because he was neither. Then, when Tiffany split the soul, it always felt like neither

Glen even stated sometimes he felt like a boy (when he's himself) and sometimes a girl (when he's Glenda) so splitting them into their gender match human bodies should have lead to no issues really. I get the whole "needing to feel whole" angle because they are technically halves of one person, but the need to not feel like they're an exact gender just didn't make any sense. Again, this is Don just trying to shoehorn more LGBTQ-ness into this thing.

I'm sorry, but I simply refuse to see a gay person as just that, gay. He is a man. Nothing more. The obsession of labels is a serious problem with our generation. Also, no. The orignal Child's Play was not camp, it took its premise pretty seriously and was more so focused on suspense and thriller. Chucky in the 88' film doesn't even talk until like 30 minutes into the movie. Child's Play 2 and 3 both had Chucky become more comedic, with his one liners, but the horror was still there. It wasn't until Bride that Chucky as a franchise went full camp.
