@arturbello4213 I think Oklahoma has the Wichita Mountains but not a city named as such. I read that Jimmy Webb was driving through Texas, Wichita Falls, when the song was inspired.

Wow. Webb is a fabulous pianist. His songs are filled with complex chords and that is part of what makes them great. Glen Campbell knows how to sing complex chord arrangements which makes him great. Add to that Webb's poetic lyrics that always tell a complete story of the human condition and Cambell's virtuoso guitar playing and you get musical magnificence. Very moving.

This song is truly one of a kind. There's a reason it's been the most played song, everything from the melody to the lyrics. It was so beautiful when Jimmy accompanied Little Big Town several years ago at the ACM's which is no longer on here and that annoys me to no end, but I'm just grateful knowing this song will never go away.
