There is just something about this beautiful song that very few songs have been able to capture. When I hear this song, no matter how many times I have heard it, it reaches deep down into my soul and touches something. Tears come to my eyes and roll down my face. It’s a primal feeling. Glen Campbell was an amazing musician and I can’t imagine anyone else capturing this feeling as he does. RIP Glen.

What a complete talent Glen was. He could do it all! I don’t think ppl appreciated his talent as much as he deserved. God given talent and he knew that. I don’t think he ever had a big head about any of it. Just a natural.

This performance brings tears to my eyes. Glen Campbell's music takes me back to childhood. To see a band I love play this song with him and look like they are really enjoying it, is moving. To think these guys were growing up loving the same music makes them so relatable. Glen is gone now but the magic of his words and music will forever be representative of a time when the world wasn't so angry, kids could play outside until dark, no electronics to interfere with our minds, and we may not have had a lot but we grew up with an innocence that will never be again. Rest easy Glen and much love to my STP!

@rockyraccoon2815 this reply is surely going to age me. I think of my Mom when I hear it. I remember my Mom travelling with my brother and I back in the late 60's and this song would play on the radio. It takes me back to those simpler times and when my Mom was young. She was in her 30's, a single mom and a widow before I was the age of 5. My Mom has passed and this song is an especially emotional one for me as I think about her. I miss her so much.

I love his bass tone here. Flat pick on what sounds like flat wound strings on a boutique Fender style P-Bass. I also noticed a 1961 +/- Fender Bassman amp in the background near the mid video - (white w/black grill -piggyback).

What a lovely performance. It’s a beautiful song, STP knew it. And as legit musicians it’s clear they fully recognized how talented Glen Campbell was, even in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. He started his career in the early 1960s a member of the Wrecking Crew (watch the documentary of the same name!), studio musicians so skilled that everybody who was anybody wanted them as backing.
