I agree , once you've settled on a set of darts DON'T CHANGE THEM. Yes try different stems & flights to fine tune them until you feel you've got your set up. Your darts , when throwing them, should be as easy as putting on your socks. Good advice Glen , top bloke. Cheers 👍🎯🎯👍

I preserved with a pen like grip for far too long before adopting a rear 3 finger grip. Good guideline to install into people but important not to think it's the only way.

I would argue that the Pen theory isn’t really true. If it was true, there would be no rear grippers at all, because nobody holds their pen at the back.

it's basically a rule of thumb, but eventually your grip will evolve into something more comfortable. So the theory still stands, but it's not like it's the definitive grip that you'll use.

I've tried and tried and tried to grip with more than just my thumb and forefinger but can't , it feels totally wrong ! I think my consistency would sky rocket if I could ☹️

I agree with the pen theory, because it’s replicable..a light grip too.

If you are a good player you can throw anything. If you are rubbish you will be almost equally rubbish with everything. Ability and practice are the keys.

I agree with the general premise, for sure, but in a game of such precision, the marginal gains afforded by using darts that suit your thow are significant.

@@oldgold5848when I was younger I could throw anything to a good standard. After 30 years of working I can only throw one type of dart and a certain weight. Eyesight is also a major factor.

Totally disagree mate straight darts I average 60 odd ... with a nice ball barrel or torpedoes 80 to 90 pal so that's just your opinion and I guarantee I'd beat you 😂
