It just makes me feel better about the world to know people like Glen Hansard exist.

There are a lot of vid's on KZbin with Glen singing and you will not find one that does not have his passion fused into the song he sings. His voice control is just incredible, and yet you can just walk up and talk to him and with no airs or graces he'll just chat back and have a laugh. It's his connection with people that keeps him grounded and for me makes him one of Ireland's treasures. Long may he and his friends(The Frames) sing for us.

Glen is undoubtedly my inspiration. Not only has his music changed the way I write my own, but he's just such a kind person with such a good, good heart. What's so beautiful about him is the fact that he is the exact same person today as he was when he first began busking. He remembers all of this and where it all began and I think that's why his songs are so honest and real and true. I can't thank Glen Hansard enough for all of what his music has done for me and so many others

I feel as if I have 'met' glen from this, he is a very natural communicator, i think that is an Irish talent most of them are born with (!) But this chap is genuine, I can see that clearly, thank you for the video, a rich experience. Heck I think I will start up busking myself again, at the age of 57 it might bring out the muse!

It's always an absolute joy to hear this man's take on life, whether that is through his music, the way he talks or simply the way his spirit is. A lot of my vocal inspiration recently has been coming from him...he has been one of the biggest blessings I have received on my path as an aspiring musician. God bless Glen, and may this movement burn like the fire inside all of us!

He is my number 1 favorite musician, and this is why! I fell in love with his music in 2010, but then I watched Once, and The Swell Season movie, and I just realized how amazing the man was. One day I hope to meet him,

It's things like this that remind me why I don't pay for TV anymore. I just found thebuskingproject tonight, and subscribed immediately (which I don't ever do). This interview just sealed everything I liked about this channel into a solid vein of Win. Thanks, @thebuskingproject for being the documentary force I didn't know I needed. Having been there and having supported other buskers... well busking's been a big influence in my life. I think it's a window into the heart and soul of any city.

I've been busking since I was 12. I'm now 18 and it's the thing I love the most. I have made so many friends, travelled across Canada and the UK, developed so much as a musician and met some incredible people thanks to busking. Thank you for posting this video, Glen articulates the art of busking so well.

Love his attitude, he's so humble about his music. If I ever made a "break" with my music, that's how I want to be about it. Want to go busking now, wish I had the voice to do it. Sadly all my songs are instrumental, because I don't care much for my singing voice. Makes my job harder, but I try to redirect all of the emotions and feelings into my playing.

+Geoff Klein It will not matter, other people will hear things in your voice that you do not-give it a try, you will gain confidence and become better at it over time, just busk in a part of town where you are not known! Good luck to you.

Quero voltar e viver a música! A história de vocês me reanimou. É viva e apaixonante. Parabéns e obrigada.

Glen's autobiography would be the most emotionally healing book ever written. Artists everywhere would buy it to gain some insight on "what it is to be alive," what art is about, how to go about it truthfully and generously. I know I would. I listen to him and I just want to take notes. It would be the next "Chicken Soup for the Soul." Just like his music. :)

Thank you! We still sign our newsletter: TBP is a complex plan to take over the world. The next step is obvious. We'll use our upcoming documentary to inspire people to action, and our website to coordinate the largest velvet revolution the world has ever seen, utilising the irresistible power of street performers to inspire a radical shift in political and economic thinking, bringing in a glorious meritocracy where politicians and CEOs are tipped instead of bought. Doesn't that sound lovely?

Dear Kevin Perkins, age 68. "I know real talent when I see it" you wrote. Do you really believe that? Why are you not a billionaire promoter then? I doubt very much that you "know real talent". You just like stuff. Like most of us. Why isnt that good enough for you. Be humble. Just say "I like this". Dont pretend you are more than you are.
