Thanks Brodie, that’s with a bike that barley ran, my bike would cut out after every jump during both races. I saw the comments charged are replying back to people with, not sure where they’re getting there information from. Hopefully by round 2 I’ll have my bike tuned correctly so I can ride it to its potential.

I love it. I've been looking for videos of Surrons at SoCal MX tracks. The only others I've seen were races on the peewee track at LACR.

Yeh, he raced a smart race… put pressure on and wait for a mistake. Must have some racing experience. EMX deserves more hype/respect. - Did anyone race on 18/21’s, how’d they do?

Agreed! Both racers are very talented and it was fun watching them battle. EMX racing is going to take off this year and we'll try to attend every one we can. Editing our comment to correct the 18/21" comment. Koby was running 16/19" wheels. We'll have a few bikes on 18/21" at the next race or two.

@@ChargedCycleWorks No I was not, 🤣 where’d you get this information from? I was running 16/19” wheels. 15KW tune and my bike cut out every single time I landed off of a Jump because the tune was way off, I’d have to let off after each roller let the bike come back to live and then get back in it, and my shock had zero rebound dampening. Wait until round 2, hopefully my tune will work and I don’t have to let off.

Sounds like you're going for top speed runs! We usually run 54t for this type of racing, the extra torque is good for accelerating out of corners and getting holeshots.

was it a mixed field of stock and heavily modified surrons? Some big tires on those suckers, not a chance my stock shinko special could hang with those 10-15k bikes

They had two classes for Surron, a Stock and a Modified and this was the modified class.

Absolutely not, but they are damn fun for so many different reasons! We love our big bikes (KTM300's especially) but there are certain trails I'll take a Surron over my KTM every time. We just got back from Glen Helen and had a riot racing out there. New video drops tomorrow.

Nice run!! Chain or belts used for this race? I run my gates belt hard and it does great! I think I hear a slight chainsaw but not sure.

We typically run belts most of the time, but on some of our high power bikes we have converted to chain. Brett is running chain drive on his bike.
