The way the seat secures to the bike is really awful. You have to carry tools around with you if you want to be able to take the seat off while on a ride...

Any alternative to the seal grease used when sliding the tubes back together?Can white lithium grease work or regular automotive grease? Cant find that particular grease anywhere plus id like to use stuff I have already rather than buying some especially that it needs so little.

hey this may be a stupid question but i haven't bought one of these lightweight e-motos.... but... what side is the throttle on? and what type of throttle is it? Do you pull the hand grip back on the right side? Or is it that lever looking thing on the left side? Just curious man. Thanks

Great video! Any idea what weight fluid is in the new ERide Pro SR front forks? Mine are very soft. ALX32RC forks Also the amount of oil? Comes with a 60lb spring, hoping I can get some stiffer springs soon. When will yall offer? Thanks!

Great video, thanks! I recently performed this service on mine. The FastAce manual "ALX13RC_MANUAL_SEAL_REPLACE.pdf" calls for 300ml 5w in the Damper side (Right leg), and 150ml 32w in the Spring side (Left leg). I used 7w for both initially before I found the manual then replaced the oil in the spring side with 30w. Didn't make a huge difference but it was a noticeable improvement. Great idea with the adjustable pliers on that top nut. Never seen a nut like that before. Wish they would make that a standard 12-point. Otherwise they're pretty decent forks for the average rider like me.

On the gouge in the stanchion, on mountain bike forks with such damage a little smoothing and filling the gouge with something like nail polish was often suggested to help smooth the interface with the seal, but you recommend doing nothing?

What weight fluid would u recommend using for ur guys fastace with a 200 lbs+ tune ?
@ChargedCycleWorks3 күн бұрын
7wt unless you want it really heavy/slow then you can go to 10

I used 300ml 7w in the Damper side (Right leg), and 150ml 30w in the Spring side (Left leg). I'm about 215lbs ready to ride and this feels good to me. If you jump huge gaps these probably aren't the forks for you but for everyday riding this is a good place to start.

@@MoxyDave I am 220 and the forks did great with stock battery and motor but now I am 72v and tm25 motor the extra weight makes the forks struggle just blowing through them now even on max compression and faster rebound

It's not a nic that makes them leak. I got mine brand new in the box leaking from you guys, it's the assembly grease on the dust seal that pushes its way up in the oil seal, causing the oil to leak out. I cleaned all the grease. Reinstalled, everything refilled with fork oil and it hasn't leaked a single drop in over four months since doing it.
@ChargedCycleWorks3 күн бұрын
It's possible the grease from the factory might be causing an issue, that's the bad thing about Chinese made suspension is they are not using high quality grease and fluids like Sirris or EXT or other quality brands. Just swapping out to a quality fluid is a difference that you can feel.
@lukeroberts550123 сағат бұрын
Im about to do mine and wanna avoid this problem, can you explain what you mean a bit more. You saying there is grease on the seal from when they are made and you cleaned them off before install? What did you use to clean them? And did you add more grease before sliding the lower tube in?

Any chance the Chain sprocket is any smaller in diameter than the belt sprocket? I have a Rerode R1 and the belt is rubbing the suspension linkage under the jackshaft sprocket.

Eride has more power and Talaria has better components/reliability. Depends which is more important to you. I do sometimes feel like the eride pro has just too much power, specially the SR. They should spend more on the reliability and brakes etc. Instead of just more and more power imo

Great video to follow when assembling the bike. What gauge wires are used on the battery and what connectors are those? Why did they split up the battery connection into two instead of having the same type of connection as the 3.0 and line you see on most other emotos ?
@mrKushmann15 күн бұрын
You can tell Bret hates a talaria. He even complains about the grips. Why even ride it. You already know you’re not going to like it. Brett only likes Jack shaft bikes period. Anything different than a Jack shaft he don’t like it. And you can tell how biased he is from the beginning of any video with a talaria in it. Always complaining about something with it. You should have someone else do reviews on any other bike other than a Surron or an ERide pro. We already know Brett is not going to like it And we get it you don’t like the Talaria Grips.
@mrKushmann15 күн бұрын
How are they know for throwing there chain? That’s absolutely not a true statement. Only on a gas bike. The chain tension does not change with the suspension travel. So how can it throw a chain.
@mrKushmann15 күн бұрын
This was not a fair test. You changed the rims on the mx5 and the 21/18 rim setup does not work correctly on the bike. It needs a drop crown to work properly. If anything you should have done the 16 in rear or to make it fair do the 18in rear on the talaria and leave the front 19. That would have made it more fair of a comparison. You modify the Talaria and then say you don’t like it. You should have never modified it to make a comparison test because that’s not how the bike comes out of the box. To do a real comparison test, the bike needs to be equal or the same to start like a brand new E ride pro and a brand new mx5. And why would you put a 21 inch rim on a bike that can’t fit that 21 inch rim making the front wheel bottom out on the bottom of your fender. Of course you’re gonna say you don’t like the way it rides I mean, who would say other. Brett always wants to put a 21 inch wheel on the front and that’s fine but when you’re doing a comparison video make the video comparable

Thank you for this tire orientation for 16/19 e-moto tires. Are any of these DOT for those of us that ride roads between trails?
@ChargedCycleWorks3 күн бұрын
The Shinko 241 and 244 are both DOT approved tires.
@mrKushmann15 күн бұрын
Why would Bret say the Talaria needs the chain guide? Any emoto that the chain does not change tension does not need a chain guide. Unlike a gas bike the chain tension does not change with the suspension travel so your chain should never come off. So the chain guide it an unnecessary option that only makes the bike sound clunky. That is unless the bike’s owner does not do there bike maintenance and keep there chain at the correct tension.

Why couldn't they all be 5 mm Allens ?
@Bacon6765 күн бұрын
The only real difference is the wheels? Wrong. Dead wrong. There is one reason the Talaria is superior in every way: it has a gearbox, and doesn't rely on crappy belts to drive a jackshaft across the swing arm through extra bearings externally. The SurRon is a dinosaur now because of that stupid belt-to-chain jackshaft design, and the e-ride is just a Surron under another name. Either get the Talaria, or a Sigma. They use a transmission, and they're mechanically more reliable.
