Thank for sharing. I went to school at Riley in 1975, 1976 1977. I was in kindergarten in 1975. It was beautiful back then. I remember the A and W rootbeer restaurant. The drive in too. My Dad took me to see Bambi. It's so sad to see like that. I even remember the ice cream truck. It makes cry.😪

Are you planning on doing a part 2 video? I'd like to see Bailey Jr. High. I went to Bailey too. Attended Melton and Wallace, but didn't graduate from there, thanks to my parents! :( Check out "Steel City Storm" videos if you like to see different areas of Gary today.

I went to elementary school there K through 3rd circa 1965-1969. I even walked home during the blizzard of 67. I walked all the way to 39th and Ohio with my little brother.

Remember that blizzard well. The National Guards came in with meds and supplies helped clear the roads from snow drifts well over 8 ft High Even the trains were stopped by the blizzard. No School for like two weeks. My Grandparents lived out below Valparaiso on a small farm that was still set up for living without power. Their basement was equipped with a wood cook stove kerosene lamps leftover from living through the Great Depression. Probably one of the worst lizards on record for that area..

Whoever you are doing this video I agree that Gary is in really bad shape but you’re exaggerating it used to be that aggressive there but it hasn’t been that aggressive in 15 years so I really don’t appreciate you exaggeration that high of a level
