You're right there at my old hood..3390 Kentucky St. I used to walk to the old wooden building Franklin School. Past my house, at rhe end of 33rd was just all farm fields. I spent many hours roaming ot there with my doggy and BB gun. Thanks for this trip

Way back in 1957-58 I lived in those fairly new (at the time) Apartments at E 45th & Pennsylvania. Walked from there to Lew Wallace. Nice area safe place back then.

I remember those being really nice back in the 80’s my moms friend lived there also

Your video jogs so many memories. There was a I think a Croatian church across Pennsylvania St. from the apartments. I wonder are the apartments still live able and is the church still active? Also there was a Jewel supermarket on the east side of Broadway about 2-3 blocks south of 45th. I assume it’s long gone. Keep posting the videos they are very interesting even though I only lived there that one year and keep up the good fight to restore Gary to some semblance of its great past.

I really Dig reading these comments knowing you are looking forward to seeing the videos drop and are enjoying them as much as I have you being here with me on the Cruises My Good Man Ken. The trash situation is very disturbing knowing people do not even raise hell getting the stuff picked up it is a big reason I film it to get attention to the disturbing trash sites everywhere. Goes to show you how close to home we stayed as far as our neighborhood, mine was about two blocks, where my closest friends lived. Not real familiar with the area on the vid, I had friends that I would visit in different neighborhoods but everybody was pretty close knit. And the next block with a different group of friends and so on and so on. During the time you grew up sometimes you hung around in them groups sometimes not. And somethings are hard for me to really recognize because things have changed so much. Keep up the good work👍

Let's examine Lake Co. an utter failure with urban planning with traffic. Zero brainwork. Look at Route 30 cluster. We need more roads. Gets worse in Saint John area, now we're talking water issues. There should have been another highway that looped around far south near Lowell. Now regard Gary, huge area, look at the grid like streets. There will never be traffic jams. It's already set up, so let's start rebuilding it.
