I haven't ventured in camplbeltown yet, but I find as a bourbon drinker GlenAllachie 15/18 were by far the most successful scotches I've found at making me want to drink scotch over bourbon on a particular day.

Great video as usual, One of my favorites Glen Scotia Victoriana (still can get $90-120) totally worth it, 15/18 great bargain for money 15-year-old around $75 18-year-old around 125 145, if you see them get it because they going up. You cannot get the spring bank 10-year-old for that money at this point. I agree The finish is short but the character is there.

NIce going, dude. I love this one too. I was planning a scotch theme for my group and wanted to include a release from every region and this was one of the only Campbeltowns I could find. It really does have a lovely mouth feel and that funk you mention, to me is floral and citrus, similar to what I get from Mizunara casks. So good. A couple of the others that killed were Arran 10yr, Bladnoch 11, Glencadam 13 and Port Charlotte 10 Heavily Peated. Cheers bro!

Enjoyed the review Jason. Cambeltown single malts are right in my wheelhouse - a great balance of sweetness, malt, peat and "character". Another alternative to Springbank would be the Kilkerran 12 or 16 - although those are getting harder to find as well.

I see more Springbank than Kilkerran, which Springbank owns anyway. It's price is going up too. I like to suggest Oban as a heavy malt like Springbank but readily available.

I`ve been looking forward to your Scotch reviews since you mentioned it recently & you didn`t disappoint especially as you gave some informative Glen Scotia history just as you do with bourbon distillers. Campbeltown produces great whisky, the 10yr Hazelburn being a particular favourite from the region not just for the excellent quality of the juice but for the affordable price too. Going north now to Islay I tried a Kilchomen Sanaig ( non age stated ) & have been blown away by the quality of that bottle for the price too. I know you enjoy peat & highly recommend it to you Jason. I will get the Glen Scotia 15 next!

I got a couple of bottles in 20 and 21 at great prices (mid 50’s) on sale and w coupons. Finished one and still have one. My experience is this needs to be open awhile to be at its best. I also did a blend of 75% Bunna 12 and 25% GS 15. Again, needs to mingle awhile, and is better than either alone. A slightly sweet edge appears w the coastal vibes and slight funk. Worth a try if you have both.

I like the 15 quite a bit, but have never seen a bottle of Victoriana here. I just picked up a Springbank 15 last month in SC for $165. Also love the Longrow Peated.

Used to be able to get for $55. Now it was $78 at Total Wine. Prices have definitely increased on Scotch as well as bourbon.

I just bought a replacement bottle of Glen Scotia 15. The Double Oak is much lighter even if good. The 15 is just a dynamite pour, WAY better than GS 18 which is not worth the money.
