I stayed in Glenbeigh at its only hotel in 1966 and rode on htis same beach every day on Rum, a small dark stallion. I remember the races, but much much more simply than in this video: the local boys rode any horse they could get their hands on, "my" Rum was ridden by Andrew, the 14year old I had a crush on..... Wonderful memories. I wonder if I would find any familiar looking place in town. I recognized the beach and its surrounding dunes and hills instantly.
