A great looking trip. The fishing bothy looked pretty new and in a great location,. Glengarrisdale bothy looked even cooler, especially when you got light and the fire up and going, and what a stunning looking location.

Hello. Cant you sleep upstairs anymore? I didnt see stairs. Man. I miss that place. We used to go there every year back in the early 2000’s. Beautiful place.

I don't remember there being an upstairs, plenty of room downstairs though.

@@55glencoe no man. There were loads of room upstairs. Spent many an hour looking out of the roof windows. Spent many an hour crying because my pals were snoring ha ha ha. We used to walk over with our gear at first. Then we got lazy, and used to get a boat to drop us off. Great times tho. Could do with been there now.

@@chriswalls443 I went there many years ago and there was a gang who had hired someone to boat them in, with enough food to feed an army! Lol. They went off to camp a few miles away down the coast that night, and said help yourself to any food (they had more than enough) they were returning the next day.

This was only last week, the Bothy was fine really, no problems.

Im gutted wee never got to go there due to flu alan so mostly camped in bell tent wae the stove but when jim and sparky where feeling better i was just catching flu headed back to islay by this time i was really ill and they decided we should head for an,cladach bothy i had no strength and adding 5 kilo of coal didn't help but an,cladach is a cracking bothy built in a cracking place

Where is the fishing hut

is the fishing hut always unlocked? been to the other three bothies on Jura but didn´t walk to this one. Is an overnight stay alright?

All I can say is i was unlocked when I visited, I know very little about it. I'm presuming an overnight stay would be ok, if they leave it unlocked then why not?

Bottles of stream water, it is very peaty on that Island.
